Update Next New In Bedding Review – I bought the first bedroom suite before we moved into this house. We sold/gave away almost everything we owned, Tyler’s full bed from college and mattress included (ha!), and we’ve been living in a 500 square foot studio apartment since selling our previous home for seven hours. It was a crazy time. In fact, we moved in with my parents for a few weeks because our lease was up, but the house was still unfinished. Oy vey!
When we officially moved into our house, we bought a new mattress (queen!), threw on some nice linens, and slept in our bedroom for over six months. Good, isn’t it? I promised that I would make slow and sensible decisions about what we brought into this house, even if it meant living like a pirate. It wasn’t always easy, but it definitely created a home full of things we love. Since then, we’ve made a lot of bed purchases, both for our master bedroom, guest room, and Marin’s bedroom, but one thing has remained the same. Everything was LAN. I was caught!
Update Next New In Bedding Review
Why flax? I think sleeping and sleeping in general are separate things, but Tyler and I both fell asleep. Linen is very breathable and perfect for all seasons. I also like the natural feel of the fiber. It’s easy to wear and always looks and feels great. Even better, I found it took a lot of wear and tear well.

Nationality is a global design brand. They work directly with global artisan partners with the highest quality in the business to bring small-scale products to consumers who do not have traditional products. They personally travel to each country and use only local materials and traditional techniques, but with their own modern style. Their products are beautiful, timely, and some of the favorites in our home.

Citizenship is a good company. They do amazing things and their products are great! Unfortunately, I don’t feel comfortable endorsing their products. We had some moments where everything was broken during the recording process.

Flax Sleep is a Canadian luxury bedding brand. I came across them when I was looking for a baby bed. I haven’t tried their sheets, but I bought a Marina sheet that I absolutely love. Just bad? They don’t sell baby cribs! I wanted to go ahead and put them on this list, though, because they offer the same quality paper and colors as we bought from Marin, and I think it’s a brand worth checking out.
I really like this brand and would definitely buy a replacement sheet if they still sell the sheets. The beauty was extraordinary. However, based on the cost alone, I would rather spend my money on a board somewhere else.
Parachute Home was launched in 2014 out of Venice, California as an online-only, consumer-oriented website focused on creating flawless bedding. Since then, they have opened many stores and established home branches, but their clothes are still the choice in our home. As you can see below, we bought a little bit of everything from them!

All other solutions have moved to the sidelines and corners, leaving a sad, stark middle ground where we need it most. Although I tried my best to share the money, it’s sad.
I had heard about the Buffy comforter from a friend and decided to purchase the Cloud Comforter since our original comforter no longer worked. Buffy is known for its sustainable performance – the filling of the Cloud Comforter is made from recycled polyester, and the outer shell is made from tencel lyocell. With their nightly return policy, I decided to at least give it a shot.
The Cloud Comforter costs $169 (I found mine on sale for $144), a bargain compared to the $300 Parachute and $220 Brooklinen.
When our castle arrived, I was initially surprised by how small the box was. There is a vacuum seal in the box to save space. But after releasing it, surprisingly it didn’t expand much. Especially compared to the floor and mattress we bought in the past.
Linen Bedding Review — My Simply Simple
Buffy describes their comforter as “extra fluffy.” I have to say… no. Especially compared to a traditional box made from a bulkhead. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. At the end of the day, I care more about warmth, comfort and overall durability. By durable I mean that the filling lasts for many years. It took us a few days to get used to the interesting profile, and now we don’t see it.
Our house has terrible insulation and can drop to 60F overnight in the fall and 50F in the winter. So far, it has kept us sane and calm through the cold night. My husband likes to chill at night, and he sleeps better with the switch on. However, I will be sure to update this review after the winter (California approved).
At first I was concerned about some of the reviews online. I’ve read that it’s very hot and sweaty, especially considering the polyfill. We never experienced this, even though we use our Parachute clothing which tends to keep the temperature controlled and breathable.
So far we are satisfied! I will continue to update this review as we go through more seasons, keeping in mind that this is advertised as an all-season comforter that works on the warmer side.
