I know some might think that when you’re short you can’t wear a longer skirt, but that’s not true at all. I’ve worn about a million midi skirts, but I have to say these are my nine favorite looks I’ve worn with that skirt. What is the common denominator in all of them? Defined waist! That’s the trick! You want the waist of your midi skirt to reach your waist. Much higher, around the navel.
Whether it’s with a pleated shirt or a peplum shirt, styling a midi skirt, my waist is defined in all these looks that give the illusion of longer legs. By showing a higher waist, it seems that my legs are starting to look much higher than they actually are. Of course we all know this isn’t true, but then again, we’re just trying to fool the eye.
