The Galaxy A51 is a beautiful phone that should appeal to Samsung fans looking for mid-range performance at a decent price. However, if you’re interested in going SIM-free, there are more affordable options.
My review sample came from Vodafone, where the contract starts at £34 a month. The phone is only available in black from Vodafone, but white, blue and silver versions are available direct from Samsung, where it’ll set you back £329 (inc.VAT) SIM.
The 6.5-inch Galaxy A51 uses a mid-range Samsung Exynos 9611 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a 4000 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy A51 Review: Performance, Design, Price
For that money, you get 128GB of internal storage, of which 21GB is used out of the box and 107GB is free for personal use. You can expand this with a MicroSD card without sacrificing one of the Galaxy A51’s two SIM card slots. There’s only 4GB of RAM, although 6GB is becoming increasingly common, even at the lower end of the market. Powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9611 processor, the Galaxy A51 delivered an average score of 346 (single-core) and 1321 (multi-core) on the prestigious Geekbench 5 benchmarks. That’s a bit below the Motorola Moto G8 and Google Pixel 4a benchmarks, but quite respectable for a phone at this price point.
Galaxy A51’s 4000 mAh battery makes this phone work for 11 hours on a charge.
In short, this is a phone that should be ready for most everyday tasks and should see you through the day as long as you don’t push the battery too far.
At 7.9mm thick (158.5mm high and 73.6mm wide), the Galaxy A51 is extremely thin and weighs just 172 grams. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom, but the most striking design feature is its back panel. It has some curved parts, so the design is a combination of simple two-tone designs and vertical stripes. But what’s more interesting is that the back refracts the light in a true rainbow effect that is truly remarkable. However, without a case, it’s a slippery slope.
Samsung Galaxy A51 Original Display, Battery & Spare Parts Price In India
The 6.5-inch AMOLED screen delivers bright and dynamic images, and the 2400 x 1080 pixel (405ppi) resolution means text is legible and graphics look crisp. The side and top bezels are smaller and the bottom bezels are slightly larger, resulting in a screen-to-body ratio of 87.4 percent. A hole in front of the camera is located at the top center of the screen. The fingerprint sensor is located on the display and Gorilla Glass 3 has some protection against drops.
The quad rear camera setup is impressive for a phone of this price. The main 48-megapixel f/2.0 wide-angle camera is joined by a 12-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide (123-degree), 5-megapixel f/2.4 macro and 5-megapixel f/2.2 depth sensors. The images were quite impressive and I enjoyed using the macro lens. It’s a shame it’s hidden under the More button on the main screen, where it sits with Pro, Panorama, Food, Night, Slow Motion, Super Slow Motion and Hyperlapse modes. The selfie camera is a 32-megapixel unit with an f/2.2 wide-angle lens.
Android 10 comes with Samsung’s own user interface and a number of pre-installed extra tools, including Samsung Pay, Netflix, Facebook, Instagram, Spotify and Samsung’s own Galaxy Store. Some of these can be removed, but anything else you don’t want should be hidden away in a folder somewhere.
For those on a budget, the Samsung Galaxy A51 performs well, has a large screen, strong battery life, and looks great. However, it’s worth buying at this price because the competition is strong. The Samsung Galaxy A51, one of the company’s most popular mid-range smartphones, now has only two updates, according to Samsung’s website, instead of four. Receives updates per year. Most Samsung phones, including the A-series devices, are promised three Android OS updates and four years of security updates. The phone, which is just over two years old and has received only one of three Android OS updates, has now been relegated to receiving security updates every two years from the previous quarter. The Samsung Galaxy A51 last received an update in February 2022. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G still promises to receive quarterly security updates.

This Samsung Galaxy A51 is on the way to follow the smartphones of 2019. There are natural details and the competition is not. It’s a Galaxy smartphone with built-in cameras that can be used, so it can be tested.
Mein Fazit: I am not satisfied with the Samsung Galaxy A51 in Jahr 2021 noch eine gute Wahl er. This smartphone is einig Aspekten immer noch konkurrenzfähig.
