The USB C charger is Apple’s 20W A2347, which is also considered the best for the current iPhone.
Very exciting, the back of the old 2018 iPad Pro still had the “45W” maximum charge current label. The current iPad Pro only says 5V/3A or 9V/2, 22A, that’s 20W.
The Apple iPad Pro 2021 also uses the USB Power Delivery standard for fast charging. Apple has not modified or changed it. All commercially available Power Delivery USB chargers with sufficient capacity can charge the iPad Pro at full speed. Therefore, Apple’s chargers do not get preferential treatment!

But how fast can the iPad Pro 2021 charge from different sources? It is important that the values measured here only apply to the 11-inch version. However, we can expect them to be similar to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
If possible, we recommend using a USB C charger for the 2021 iPad Pro with an M1 chip. If you use a USB A to USB C adapter cable, the charging speed is limited to around 5W!
Here, the iPad Pro 2021 differs a bit from the Pro 2018, the latter could still be charged with standard USB-A chargers up to 7.5W.
Charging speed is significantly faster on USB C chargers with Power Delivery. Here I was able to measure the maximum charging speed of 28W. Of course, this is only if your charger can deliver 28W of power as well.

Power is limited to 17.x W with an 18 W USB PD charger and 19 x W with a 20 W charger.
The included 20W charger can already quickly charge the 2021 iPad Pro 11, but it would be even faster with a larger charger.
When you charge the iPad Pro regularly, it draws a maximum of about 28W. But when you use it in parallel, I was able to measure up to 35W of power.
Of course, this is only if you have a suitable charger. Therefore, a 45W or higher charger is recommended for iPad Pro 11 2021. It would be able to provide enough power in any situation.

Let’s summarize what should/could be the perfect power bank or charger for iPad Pro.
Basically, I think the charger that comes with the iPad Pro 11 is good enough. Switching isn’t absolutely necessary, but a slightly faster charging speed can definitely be achieved.
Ideally you want 45W or more. In principle, more power is not harmful, but it also does not lead to faster charging speeds.
