In one of the best SIM deals we’ve seen in a while, third-party retailer Mobiles.co.uk is currently offering an unlimited data iD Mobile SIM for just £16/month on a 24-month contract. Along with unlimited 5G browsing and streaming, you also get unlimited calls and texts, meaning you don’t have to worry about any aspect of your phone contract for the next two years, all for about the price of a plate of fish and chips every month.

To put this offer into perspective, we can look at similarly long contracts from rival providers: unlimited data on a 24-month contract from EE will set you back £28, and unlimited data from Vodafone costs £15 a month, rising to a hefty £30 /month after the first six months, while unlimited data from Three is set at £24/month for two years.

Three Deals: Get Ludicrously Cheap Unlimited Data

Using the comparison offers above, you’ll see why we think this iD Mobile SIM deal is worth a shout, as it can potentially save you hundreds of pounds over the life of your contract compared to other providers.

So if you like the look of this great SIM deal, be sure to grab it soon, as Mobiles.co.uk changes its deals frequently.

Of course, a good price does not mean much if it is not accompanied by excellent service. Fortunately, our latest iD Mobile review is more positive, with the provider receiving four out of a possible five stars. In our review, we praised iD Mobile for its excellent long-term contracts and smartphone packages, free roaming in the EU, which is definitely not self-evident these days, and continuous improvement in 5G speeds and coverage.

In terms of overall speed and reliability, user feedback scores put iD Mobile somewhere in the middle of the pack, with the only real negative for the network being its customer service, according to both surveys. Still, with a deal as good as this one, we’re willing to overlook those minor gripes, as the network offers more than enough in terms of performance to merit a recommendation, especially at this price.

After visiting 100 countries by the end of 2019, I felt inspired to visit every country in the world. However, I’ve learned along the way that it’s not my thing to make travel a challenge. I travel because it is my passion, I travel to learn, to become a better person and to feel alive and live in the moment. For me, life is the pursuit of happiness, not goals!

We’ll also give you a quick comparison of competing mobile networks that offer unlimited data. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know.

An unlimited data plan is more or less what it sounds like. You get as much monthly data as you want to use on your mobile phone. But as with everything in life, there are pros and cons to choosing an unlimited data plan.

On the pro side, you’re obviously getting a ton of data. You don’t have to worry about running out and you won’t have to pay extra costs if you exceed your monthly data limit. On the other hand, an unlimited data plan won’t come cheap. If you’re not a heavy data user, you may find that a capped data plan will actually be cheaper for you.

Before you decide on an unlimited data plan, you’ll need to look at your average phone usage (using old bills or your phone’s data tracker) to see if it’s really worth it.

EE is one of the UK’s largest mobile operators and currently offers three unlimited data options. Note that these are for contract customers only (so PAYG customers won’t get unlimited data) and are only available on 12-month contracts:

Before we get into some of the benefits of these plans, let’s look at the limitations. Obviously, the initial limitation is that you have to commit to a 12-month contract, there are no short-term (1 month) unlimited data contracts available, and PAYG customers can’t get unlimited data either. But many carriers also put limits on their unlimited data plans when it comes to speed or the actual amount of data you can use. How does EE handle this?

How To Buy A Sim Card In Europe

According to EE, there is no speed cap on their unlimited data plan. You should be able to access the highest speeds available in your local area. These vary by location, although average 4G download speeds are around 30 Mbit/s in EE and 5G around 100 Mbit/s.

But can you really use as much data as you want? Well… sort of. There are some limitations. There is a clear limitation when traveling abroad, as well as a slight limitation on connectivity (see the Roaming and modem connection section below). However, the main limitation of fair use is that this plan is for personal use only.

Therefore, you can use up to 1000 GB of data per month. Use more than that and EE will consider you a ‘commercial’ user and reserve the right to switch you to a business plan. The 1000GB limit is pretty high, so it shouldn’t be a problem for most people.

EE offers several benefits with its unlimited data plans. There are two real areas of interest here.

If you have more than one SIM card attached to your account (perhaps a child’s SIM or your partner’s SIM), you can share up to 120GB of mobile data with any other SIM card per month. You can easily provide information through the MyEE app.

If you choose the Smart SIM plan, you also get exchangeable benefits (2 per month on the 4G plan, 3 per month on the 5G plan). You can choose the benefits you want and change them every 30 days if you want. Although EE offers a number of interchangeable benefits, only 3 are of interest to unlimited users (others, such as unlimited data for music streaming, are not applicable if you already have unlimited data):

Unlimited data plans are becoming increasingly popular, so EE has some competition. How are they measured? Well, to be honest, EE plans aren’t cheap compared to the alternatives:
