Now that we’re done with our testing, let’s take a look at what worked and what didn’t in our Galaxy A50s review.
The Samsung Galaxy A50s has the same dimensions as the original Galaxy A50. It’s 3 grams lighter, and could be the addition of a 48MP camera sensor that replaces the 25MP shooter on the Galaxy A50.
Back in the day, we were very impressed with the design of the Galaxy A50 and today we can appreciate it even more. In fact, this year the phone, in general, is much older and bigger and the Galaxy A50 has a beautiful design and ergonomic curves that are pleasant to hold.
Judging by the fact that we often have questions from customers who ask for a good “label” option to control themselves or their parents, the design should attract buyers and get the phone from offline or by personal advice.

The material used for the back is still plastic, but Samsung distinguishes the ‘s’ with a beautiful gradient that smells good without being heavy. Add a stunning AMOLED screen and you’ve got yourself a winner!

The visible optical sensor on the A50s isn’t always responsive at first, but it worked well when we tested it. This isn’t the fastest fingerprint sensor in its class, but after a few weeks, it’s still kind of unlocked our A50s. Apart from that, the galaxy A50 also has an open face and it works well.

Another strong suit is the (very nice) Full HD AMOLED screen. The display settings now list Samsung’s latest edition – Vivid and Natural – which worked well for us. Samsung does not specify Gorilla Glass for any other form of resistance, but the screen has an oleophobic coating to make it scratch-resistant.

The display has a notch for the front camera and the color below is a hair higher than what you get from competing phones from Realme and Xiaomi. In other words, it’s not as immersive as what you’ll get on a flagship phone like the Realme X or the Redmi K20.
We like the video streaming and our Galaxy A50s had no problem using it outdoors under sunlight.

The Galaxy A50 is powered by the Exynos 9610 octa-core chipset and the A50s received a slight upgrade – the Exynos 9611. The clock time and configuration of the CPU cores have not changed but Samsung says improvements in the graphics (Mali G72 GPU cores are capable surface cover). Samsung has doubled the storage up to 128GB for 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants (about 112GB is free at the end of the user).
Samsung is also adding game boosters to improve the game performance of PUBG. In our tests, PUBG Mobile used some noticeable results in HD and High Settings, but the performance was flat when we switched to Standard and High Settings.
The Galaxy A50 might not be an option for serious gamers but it will work well for moderate and heavy users who don’t want to run heavy games on maximum settings.

Few applications are pre-installed on the phone, but users get the option to remove them. For anyone wondering, the Galaxy A50s has Widevine DRM L1 certification and HD streaming support on Netflix and Amazon Prime.
One of the most important improvements to the Galaxy A50 is its camera. To help compete in the sea of 48MP camera phones, Samsung is adding one to the phone. Benchmark software confirms that Samsung is using the Sony IMX582 sensor (the same one used in the Redmi K20 and Vivo Z1x).

The main camera is also paired with an Ultra-Wide angle camera with a 123 FoV range. The third sensor is the primary depth sensor that aims to enhance portrait photography. As with many other budget phones, these sensors are interchangeable.
The camera app is designed like the one used by Samsung in high-end phones and has flagship features like Best Shot suggestion, Scene Enhancement, Super Slow-mo Video, and Document Scanner, apart from the usual like Super Night Mode.
In the right light, the Galaxy A50 can print quality photos with decent text and detail. These images look better on a phone than they do when projected on a big screen.
The selfie camera works great outdoors and in light scenes. It is not very subtle or light.
Galaxy A50s Is Samsung’s Latest Phone To Get February 2022 Security Update
The Galaxy A50s has a 4000mAh battery and that is enough power considering today’s standards. The battery takes fast charging. Samsung packs a 15W fast charger in the box and you can also use a USB PD charger for fast charging.
The speaker on the phone is loud and produces good sound quality. The sound from the headphones, too, is amazing.
The Samsung Galaxy A50s strikes as a premium phone and adds refinements to the popular Galaxy A50. The phone is beautiful, very comfortable to use, and displays the useful Samsung logo. Also, we see some significant improvements in the software running on the phone.
That said, when it comes to raw performance it ranks with premium online options like the Realme XT and Redmi K20. The camera, although not commercial, does not give a face.

Also, unlike the aforementioned competition, the Galaxy A50s is not an online exclusive and will be available in offline retail stores. For offline sellers, this should be a more attractive option.
