The Samsung Galaxy A50s features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. It runs on Android 9 Pie and is powered by Exynos 9611 processor. The smartphone comes in two variants – 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. It has a 4,000 mAh battery that supports 15 W fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy A73 looks good at first glance. Made of polycarbonate, the device looks and feels premium in the hands. We have a mint color variant that looks beautiful from every angle. Samsung has given the side rail a metallic finish to make it attractive. The back panel has a matte finish to ensure it doesn’t get scratched easily.
The right edge of the phone houses the volume rockers and power button while the left edge remains bare. . The display is huge and the bezels are super slim with HDR support making viewing content even more enjoyable.
The display has a high brightness level of 800 nits which makes it visible even in direct sunlight. The device comes with 2 screen modes out of which Vivid mode gives the most vivid and vibrant colors. Natural mode gives the closest reproduction of natural colors. The refresh rate also has 60Hz and 120Hz options, of which I mostly used 120Hz. When you select the 120Hz option, it will stay at 120Hz even if you are watching 24fps content.
Talking about audio, there is a single speaker at the bottom of the phone which is very loud and clear. The speakers offered here can fill a room making it quite capable of content consumption.

Samsung Galaxy A73 was launched when its octa-core Snapdragon 778G chipset looks very old but the processor based on 6nm fabrication delivers reliable performance. Equipped with Adreno 642L GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128/256GB memory, the device offers smooth web surfing, social media surfing, multitasking, video playback, and more. There is no delay or interruption while performing these activities.
We ran a CPU Throttle test on the device, in which it got a bit hot, but considering it’s summer, that’s nothing to worry about.
Not all smartphones are meant for gaming, and the Galaxy A73 isn’t specifically designed for gaming. However, you can play some light games on it. Heavy games like Asphalt 9 increase CPU stress. If you are a simple lifestyle user, this smartphone will work for you.

If we talk about the software, the Galaxy A73 runs the latest version of Android 12 with Samsung One UI 4.1 skin on top. The smartphone supports fast internet speeds, and has a clean UI but also has bloatware. There are some third-party apps pre-installed like Josh, MXTalk, DailyHunt, Moj, Snapchat, PhoneP, Prime Video and more, but they can be uninstalled if you don’t need them.
Now let’s talk about the camera department. The Galaxy A73 has a 108MP main camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The camera clicks good pictures with good colors, detail and dynamic range.
Colors in clicked photos often remain natural, which is beneficial. Our review camera samples were sharp with plenty of image detail. In low light, the main lens clicks more or less decent pictures, though details take a bit of a hit in night pictures.
The second lens is a 12MP ultrawide sensor. The ultra-wide lens gives a larger FOV and better photos but the image detail is nowhere near the original rear camera. This smartphone also has 5MP macro and 5MP depth sensors.

On the front, Samsung has packed the Galaxy A73 with a 32MP camera for selfies. The selfie camera manages to click some really good pictures for us. In natural light, selfies have great detail. Like most cameras, it suffers from image degradation in low light.
The Galaxy A73 has a 5000mAh battery that provides excellent battery life. The phone supports 25W fast charging which takes more than 2 hours to fully charge. Once fully charged, its battery does not drain quickly even after heavy usage. If you are a moderate user, the battery will easily last more than 1.5 days. Setting the refresh rate to 60Hz ensures that the battery lasts about 2 days.
There is no charger inside the box and the supplied cable has a USB Type-C port on both ends. So, if you have a new charger, this cable can work with it otherwise you will have to buy a new charger. Any old charger with a Type-C port on each end can also be used.
The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is a great mid-range smartphone. At a budget of Rs 42,000, you get a 108MP main camera sensor, stunning AMOLED screen, and a reliable Snapdragon 778 processor. There is no room for complaint in the area of battery life.
