Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE in two configurations, with 128GB and 256GB storage options, priced at Rs 54,999 and Rs 58,999 respectively. The price of the phone is a matter of concern for many people, especially when the competition in the market is very fierce. So is the price of Galaxy S21 FE reasonable? Let’s find out together.

Galaxy S21 Fe Gets Better Stability And Security Through June 2022 Update
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G is inspired by the Galaxy S21, especially in terms of the camera setup, which now has a contoured module. The S21 FE gets rid of the glass clamshell design and has a plastic back, the camera body is also made of plastic, unlike the metal base of the top models. The black looks matte and we assume that’s after design because the color is called graphite. However, deeper blacks look better on the back. There are three other colors to choose from, which seem more premium. The advantage of the plastic back is that it is durable and less damaged if dropped.
After using the smartphone for a while, we found that it is lighter than most phones in its class, making it easier to use and less tiring. All in all, weighing 177 grams and measuring 7.9mm long, it is easy to use with one hand. Speaking of further weight reduction, Samsung has used minimalist packaging for the S21 FE, similar to its flagship smartphone. The biggest change you may notice is that the charger is missing from the box.
Regarding the screen, we have no complaints. The S21 FE features a bright and vibrant 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, in addition to a 120Hz refresh rate. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus seems to do a good job of limiting minor scratches. The panel flexes around the edges so lightly you won’t notice it, but it does give off an edge-to-edge feel. Multimedia usage, surfing the web and social media, or simply browsing through your chats are as smooth as on a bright screen. Samsung has expertise in this area and isn’t afraid to show it off.
Overall, the Galaxy S21 FE is very comfortable in the hand and the display is beautiful for most use cases. If you’re going to be backpacking your phone, we wouldn’t worry too much about the dull finish of the black model.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Review: Almost Perfect
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has a triple rear camera setup, which combines a 12MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom. Samsung doesn’t go overboard with megapixels, but you’ll find that the phone is more than capable of meeting your camera needs. It doesn’t increase much from what we see in the S20 FE because the resulting output is almost identical.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE can perform well in daylight conditions. Vivid, rich and detailed images with balanced saturation. The main camera’s autofocus works pretty well at focusing on the subject. Portraits are also very good, with the solid depth effect you’d expect from a flagship phone. Switching to ultra-wide mode will degrade the quality level, especially in details. However, the wide angle setting was used to great effect to give the photo a dramatic effect, as you’ll see in our camera samples below.
Low-light photography is still a sensitive subject. Night mode does work well in certain conditions, but keeping colors natural is a mistake. However, the night mode did brighten the image and did some noise correction to make the results acceptable. What we really like is that night mode is also supported on the ultra-wide sensor, which turns out to be more useful than we imagined.
The Galaxy S21 FE has the same zoom capabilities as its predecessor, and the results are too similar. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera, which captures good details and natural colors during the day, but quality suffers in low-light places. Portrait mode on the front camera is correct. You can also change the background effect on portraits, which we think is pretty cool as some filters are natural and some look bad. But you can always choose good ones to give your photos a unique touch.
Galaxy S21 Ultra—$200 Cheaper But Still Not Competitive
This is where things get really interesting. The Galaxy S21 FE comes with the flagship Exynos 2100 chip, which is the same chip that powers the S21 series. This chipset has a well-known performance and does a great job of running everything in the Galaxy S21 FE. In addition to performance, the chipset unlocks some premium features like wireless Dex mode to share content on a larger screen and use it like a PC. Supported 5G bands will ensure that you get to use this phone in the future, although it looks like there is a long way to go until India gets a 5G network.
As expected, the phone has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, and NFC for Samsung Pay. While many OEMs are still running Android 11, Samsung has updated the Galaxy S21 FE to OneUI 4.0 based on Android 12. The software is far from stock Android but works quite well and provides a familiar user experience. Gestures and navigation work pretty well.
We’ve tested the phone on various fronts and it seems to be the best one yet. Multimedia usage is excellent thanks to HDR 10 playback. High-graphics games exceeded our expectations, especially with smooth refresh rates and steady frame rates. The way Samsung has packed this device, light and powerful, we found it quite appealing during prolonged gaming and watching movies. Headphones work perfectly indoors, whether for gaming or multimedia, but we recommend using compatible headphones when going out.
Despite having a plastic back, the S21 FE supports wireless charging and is also IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. We don’t really rely on the former, but the latter is sometimes very useful.

For most users, this phone will easily get you through the day with its mix of calls, social media, photos, and games. As you play games or stream more and more media, you’ll notice your battery draining out sooner. If you plan to watch TV shows on the go, having a power bank can be a smart thing to do.
But in terms of charging speed, there are many phones that charge much faster nowadays. Since the S21 FE does not come with an AC adapter, you will have to use an existing AC adapter or purchase a new one. In any case, even the fastest 65W adapter won’t switch to faster charging as it will take more than an hour to fully activate the phone.
