Update Note 20 Ultra 5g Contract Review

Update Note 20 Ultra 5g Contract Review – “Ultra” is what Samsung calls the top of the line flagship. After the S series in the spring, the Note series now undergoes an annual update. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra costs at least 1266 euros and has all the technology you can put in your pants pocket.

The Note’s most obvious USP is the stylus built into the case. Yes, some smartphones may come with a stylus and/or even have “note” in their name. But let’s be honest: Samsung has been making stylish smartphones for almost a decade now and it’s very good at it.

One Ui 4.1 Goes Live For The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 And Galaxy S21 Fe

The Note 20 Ultra is for all creative people who don’t want to be without a pen in 2020, whether it’s handwriting notes, joking around in boring meetings or commenting on documents , images and presentations. And since the Style received Bluetooth and location and acceleration sensors from the previous-generation Note, it’s also more self-contained.

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will launch on August 21, 2020 in Mystic Bronze, Mystic Black, and Mystic White colors.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra screams “premium” no matter how you look at it. Constructed entirely of glass and aluminum, this year’s flagship phablet looks and feels expensive. The Mystic Bronze color corresponds to beauty, and I think it will be the most popular variant for non-professionals this year.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5g Review: It Doesn’t Get Any Better

Compared to last year’s Galaxy Note 10, the front is more or less the same. The bezels on the sides of the screen are rounded and the screen is recessed in the center of the selfie camera. The S Pen has moved from the right side to the bottom left, but otherwise the front looks just like the Note 10.

The back shows a major design change. Last year’s vertical camera housing has been replaced with a large rectangular module that houses the photography gear. Later. It is difficult to accept the size of the camera. The fact that the phone itself is so big means you don’t feel the camera bump in everyday use.

The Note 20 Ultra is probably the best smartphone I’ve ever used. During the summer months, when everyone is wearing less, there is no room on my body for this phone. If I travel in the Note 20 without a coat, I have to carry it in my backpack. Honestly it’s big and heavy.

The screen is 6.9 inches wide with a resolution of 3088 x 1440 pixels in WQHD+. Samsung has carried over the 120Hz refresh rate from the S20 series, and new this year is the latest Gorilla Glass Victus, a rumored upgrade from Gorilla Glass 6. Manufacturer Corning says it can withstand drops of up to up to two meters and that it is hard, rough. surfaces can survive, which is useful for an expensive device.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Review Revisited: Six Months Later

The Note 20 Ultra’s screen is excellent. Samsung has long had a reputation for making the best screens in the business, and the Note 20 Ultra’s panel really is the crème de la crème. Standard Natural and Vivid modes are available, as well as custom white balance and RGB adjustments. If you can’t make the display look as good as you want, you should have your eyes tested.

However, the Galaxy S20 series flaw is back. Despite the fact that the Note 20 Ultra supports both WQHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, you still can’t use them both at the same time. Our Note 20 Ultra comes with FHD+ and 120Hz, but as soon as you switch to WQHD+ you lose the smoothness of motion that gives you all the quality of 120Hz. Personally, I’ll stick with 1080p and 120Hz at new.

The sole selling point of the Note is still the stylus built into the case. Yes, there may be other smartphones that have style and/or even “Note” in their name, but the truth is that Samsung has been making style-based smartphones for almost a decade now and that’s very good at it.

The Note 20 Ultra is for creatives and production freaks who also don’t want to be without a pen in 2020. Whether you’re taking handwritten notes, jotting down notes in meetings, or annotating notes, pictures and speeches, the S Pen is your friend. And since the stylus is equipped with Bluetooth and position and accelerometer sensors, as in the previous generation of Galaxy Notes, it works very autonomously.

The integration of pen controls into the operating system is still good. As the saying goes “never change a winning team”, software changes are minimal. There are a few new gestures for the S Pen, however. If you want to enable 50x zoom and rotate gestures, you can do that, but after two minutes I felt like I had tendonitis.

But for the new stylus to really deserve its title of “S-Pen Ultra”, there is another useful novelty: Samsung has managed to reduce the stylus insertion latency from 42 to 9 milliseconds. The result is a writing experience that feels immediate and natural, and is a huge improvement over the Note 10 experience of last year. The latency of 9 milliseconds is almost identical to that of the Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro.

For the SoC, the Samsung Note family also uses the current S-generation Exynos SoC in Europe. The US uses the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon, which means our US friends get the impressive Snapdragon 865+, while we have to settle for the Exynos 990.

We saw the same with the S20 phones earlier this year, and there’s a noticeable difference in performance between the two regional versions. However, Snapdragon customers get a slightly improved SoC (the S20 Ultra had the standard 865), while Exynos customers get the same SoC in the Note 20 Ultra as the S20 Ultra.

Whichever chip you have, you get up to 12GB of RAM and 256 or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Unlike its smaller sibling, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has a built-in microSD slot so you can expand the storage even further.

As you can see from our test results below, the Note 20 Ultra is in line with other Android flagships currently available. When you pay that much for a phone, you expect good performance, and that’s what you get with the latest Galaxy Note.

The new WiFi 6 and UWB wireless standards are also on board for Samsung this year, as is the DEX wireless we saw on last year’s Galaxy Note 10 phones.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has a promising camera setup. The wide camera bump, however, cannot be explained as such due to its size. I saw small bay windows. But still: the 108-megapixel sensor, which is huge by smartphone standards, has to go elsewhere. We already know the chip called Isocell HM1 of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the elements necessary for very good photos are there.

And in fact, since the launch of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Samsung has managed to master the algorithms. At least after the first few days with the Note 20 Ultra, it’s very rare that we notice those bad technical things that hit the S20 Ultra at launch.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5g Review: Price, Specifications, Camera Features

In good lighting conditions, photos are sharp with accurate and attractive colors. As usual with Samsung, photos are bright and colorful. If you mind: The color reproduction of the camera can be adjusted in the settings. Due to the large main sensor, the Note 20 Ultra has selective depth of field, especially for large photos. Unfortunately, the photos look very choppy, especially in the transition between sharpness and darkness. However, all modern smartphones with large sensors struggle with this.

When there is less light, the larger sensor eventually compensates. The Note 20 Ultra also offers decent image quality for indoor shooting. The high resolution also leaves room for digital photo enhancement, such as choosing a narrow viewing angle for portrait photos. The performance of Night Mode, especially against the competition, will soon be reviewed in a separate article.

In addition to the main sensor, Samsung has included an ultra-wide-angle lens which, with its wide viewing angle, puts more content into the image than most of its competitors. Thankfully, color reproduction is very similar to that of the main camera – photos look like they were taken in one piece. Color reproduction is good, but like the main camera, saturation and contrast are heavily impaired.

Finally, there’s the telephoto lens which, with its fivefold zoom, zooms in quite a bit. Compared to the S20 Ultra, there’s only one thing behind the lens
