The cover is 100% cotton, the build quality is poor and there is an option to combine several tones to make it suitable for year-round use. We found it sleeps on the warm side, but is great for cold weather or cold people.

Like the Down duvet review for its duvet feel, I tested a synthetic bedding option from this British brand. Dusk was founded in 2016 with the goal of providing luxury bedding at an affordable price. In addition to a selection of duvets and pillows, it also sells mattresses, bedding, mattress protectors and covers, towels and sheets.
At the time of writing, the Down Duvet is one of four duvet styles available; The brand also offers options with goose down, duck down and cotton filling. You can choose 4.5 tog summer, 9 tog for spring/autumn or 13.5 tog for winter. Alternatively, you can choose the All Seasons option, which has 4.5 tog and 9 tog duvets that give you weight for every season.

Dusk Feels Like Down Duvet Review
It is a British brand and is only available in UK sizes: single, double, king and super king. As I mentioned in the introduction, you can choose from three options (4.5, 9 and 13.5) or combine the first two in the All Seasons duvet, which is the version I tried.
The feel of the down filling is designed to mimic the feel of a goose down or duck down comforter, but is actually 100% lightweight polyester microfiber. However, the body is not synthetic, but made of cotton. The build quality is impeccable, with double stitching and a good edge on the seams. An insulating pattern keeps the filling in place.
In terms of care, Dusk recommends brushing and airing the duvet daily. If you have a large washing machine, you can wash it at 40ºC and it is also suitable for drying at low temperature.
In my tests, the disk felt as well as the down duvet. Synthetic fill often means a more breathable but less warm duvet than down, but the opposite is true here (which makes sense considering it’s meant to be quilted). It feels on the heavy side and retains heat well. On warm nights, I find it a bit sticky, even when I use the single duvet cover option. But in cold weather it works well in hot conditions. The synthetic downshift also stayed in place well and responded well to knocks.

Dushanbe says they are “great and great.” I wouldn’t say it was particularly loud, but then I tested a 4.5 tog (which is basically blanket thickness) and a 9 tog, so you might have more fun with the higher tog option.
All duvets have clips that allow you to tie them together if you decide to go with the multi-duvet option. It’s a simple, hassle-free option and there’s no risk of losing parts (as is the case with weird scums duty connectors). At the same time, I think you might want a few more points in the mix – the current design only uses one in each corner, and during my tests one was removed, causing the div Fill in the case.
The duvet feels like it comes in a zip-top plastic bag, which is pretty standard for duvets, but doesn’t feel particularly great. The idea might be that it’s a good place to store your extra duvet when it’s not on your bed, but I suspect it’ll soon be looking worse for wear. Other brands, such as Skoums, have gone for a very good looking clothing bag, although to be fair the price is quite high.
For bedding, standard delivery takes 3-5 working days and is free on orders over £50 and £3.99. You can also pay £4.99 for next day delivery if you order before 7pm. There is nothing in the way of a trial period (they are rare but not available when it comes to bedding) and there is no information about the warranty period.

The return policy seems pretty standard, if a bit generous: you have 30 days from the delivery date to return it, and you can only return items that are unused, unwashed and in their original packaging. . Errors appear to be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Based on their reviews on Trustpilot, Dusk seems to be very impressive in terms of customer service – there are many reviews praising the brand’s efficient delivery and response time. At the time of writing, it averages 4.5 stars out of ~34,500 reviews.

Although it is more expensive than the Dusk duvet, it is a good quality duvet that provides comfort and warmth, although the attached envelopes can easily be lost and it is clearly inferior to synthetics. If you have a better way to do it.
John Lewis also produces a range of three-in-one duvet covers at various price points. Many come with great reviews, though I haven’t been able to try it for myself.

The duvet feels very well made, feels high quality and does a great job of keeping you comfortable throughout the night. It doesn’t feel as high and light as some synthetic options, so it will suit those who prefer a lighter weight to their duvets. If you go for the 2-in-1 version, the Popper connectors are trouble-free and work well enough (one of mine fell off overnight during my tests, but it’s not a recurring problem).
