The new Galaxy M31 comes in two memory variants, (6GB + 64GB) priced at Rs 15,999 and (6GB + 128GB) at Rs 16,999 and is available in two colors, ‘Ocean Blue’ and ‘Space Black’.
With a larger battery unit and an upgraded camera setup, the Galaxy M31 could be the best option for those who spend a lot of time using the smartphone.

The Galaxy M31 is similar to the Galaxy M20 from early 2019. It has a plastic back panel available in Space Black and, on the unit we have, Ocean Blue. The color options are a bit dark and muted and we wish there was a lighter version.
With its glossy and glass-like surface, the Samsung Galaxy M31 is surprisingly a fingerprint magnet. Also, plastic materials are really susceptible to hair damage over time. Also, we advise you to buy a protective case, so that it does not come in a box. There is no official IP rating, but we expect it to withstand splashes of water.

Overall, the build is very solid, no weird flex or anything. This is probably because of the solid chassis inside, with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front. It is quite disappointing that Samsung did not go with Gorilla Glass 5, quite the opposite. Our review unit also did not come with a pre-applied screen protector.
But the screen is a beauty to look at. The Samsung Galaxy M31 has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel. It’s big enough without adding extra bulk to an already thick device. It has ultra-thin bezels on the top and sides, which was made possible by a slightly noticeable Infinity-U notch for the selfie camera. However, the chin bezel is relatively thin.

On the left side, we have the SIM tray that can accommodate two nano SIM cards and a microSD card at the same time.
On the right side, we have the off/power switch under the volume controls. The physical buttons feel surprisingly hard and flexible which is really comfortable to press.
