OK, so I said these are mom gifts, not baby gifts, BUT hear me out…if you’re a runner (which I am) and your baby is over six months old, I bet this is a mom gift . If it wasn’t for my sausages, I wouldn’t have run longer than I could. It allows me to go out and have an hour to myself. I have emotional, mental and physical exercises, and he sleeps well because of the steady rhythm of the walk. We both feel energized and get back into the game.

There are three ways to do this, depending on the age of the baby/toddler and the type of working mother.
Exercise can be another way for mothers to feel better. It is something that can remind us of our past life, taking control of another person’s life before it begins. A gym membership is a great way for moms to get access to a class or just equipment without having to pay for anything else. A gym like the YMCA has the added benefit of Childwatch, so you can leave your child at daycare for up to two hours and know your child is in good hands. This means you (or your mom friend/family) can work out and still have enough time to relax for a few minutes in the hot tub or sauna.

That being said, I understand now, sometimes your baby is just being demanding and you leaving her to hear her scream loudly when you get something to eat is just not something you want to do. Besides, you can hardly hear yourself think when it’s so hard to decide what to eat.
So muesli went to breakfast for me. I can throw the cup and pour milk over it. Since muesli is raw by nature, if you take a bite, it doesn’t matter if you leave it for a few minutes and take another. I didn’t think I’d be one of those people who wanted an Apple Watch, and even though I wanted one since the beginning of the year, I felt overwhelmed and didn’t really NEED it, so let it go.
When you’re a new mom, you have to put your baby first, that’s a given. Sometimes carrying a phone with you is not only impossible, it even distracts the child. If they are just sleeping and you see that the phone is on, it may be enough to wake them up.
We also don’t allow Bayle any screen time until he’s 18 months. I know he is growing up with them in the culture, but I want him to enjoy his main activities for this period of his life.
So having an Apple Watch means you can see a text from your spouse telling them they’re on their way without having to go to their phone. You can leave your phone across the room and when you hear it ring you don’t have to get up because you can see who it is.

For me, I feel like it allows me to let things go. I can read a message or note on my watch and respond as soon as I can, removing the urgency that we all have to go check our phones.
Maybe I’m just trying to convince everyone I need to, maybe it’s for a really good reason.
