If you’re not going to play video games or watch Blu-ray discs, you probably don’t need a TV with a 120Hz refresh rate, which tends to drive up the price.

Both smaller (43.50 inches) and larger (85.98 inches) than the Hisense U8H, the QN90B is slightly brighter and offers a cleaner, more nuanced image that video enthusiasts will appreciate.
The Hisense U8H offers great picture quality, great gaming features and a Google TV interface, but it has a narrower viewing angle and smaller screen size than some other TVs.
Why we love it: The TCL 5-Series 2022 (S555) delivers beautiful 4K HDR images with better brightness than the competition and comes in 50-, 55-, 65- and 75-inch sizes to fit most rooms. It offers good picture and sound quality, and the built-in Android TV smart TV platform supports all major video and music streaming services. We love Android TV’s customizable interface and simple remote without oversimplifying it, with useful buttons and a microphone for voice search. Via Bluetooth audio output, you can wirelessly transmit TV audio to headphones or speakers, and choose a wired or wireless network connection for streaming.
Flaws, but not deal-breakers: None of the 32-inch TVs we’ve tested excel at brightness, and their LCDs don’t include any blocking technology to improve brightness or improve picture contrast—so they’re not a good choice for bright rooms. The 32S334’s viewing angles are average, and the 720p resolution isn’t ideal for close-up use like desk work or gaming. If you need 1080p resolution or prefer the Roku smart TV platform, consider our second pick, the TCL S327.
