Neca Krang Android Body Pre Order – What is the weirdest character design from your favorite cartoon? To me, it’s definitely a simple mix of giant naked man, robot, marsupial, and baby that makes up Grang’s android body. The new NECA figure hits stores now, let’s take a look!
The box has some really cool artwork that takes me back to those old VHS TMNT cartoon compilation videos. The photography on the back and inside is also really nice, and this is one of those boxes.

Little Shredder is from the episode Punk Frogs and Leatherhead, where Shredder takes a dip in the fountain of youth and is a miniature figure complete with decent articulation, including a straight neck, hinged shoulders and a hinged hip. She has some great, angry words to express her displeasure at being a baby.

Additional hands and tool holders fit into the wrist sockets and are held securely. Almost too tight as I’m a little afraid I’ll break them. The sculpt on the weapon captures the cartoon weapon very well, while still having very sharp detail. I really like the metal chains as they are perfect in character and have a spiky/square finish that is different from the usual real chains you see on toys.
The little antennae are nice pieces of hard plastic and attach to the top of the head and the top of the shower cap. I’m glad there are two because I could see I was missing one, but they are dense. Be careful when changing, because the carpet monster wants to eat these parts.
There’s soap on the rope, the shower cap, and the towel, so we can recreate the scene where Shredder cuts Krang in the shower with a video call. To be honest, I don’t remember this scene, but I appreciate the humor and the deep lines.
Finally, this set comes with a new Krang figure. His tentacles have ball and sockets that can be swapped out for the original Krang figure. You can switch cranks between the Android body and the driver from the original. The tentacles here are designed to hold small ball joint joysticks and Krang’s small valves have some nice details inside. The crank is slightly larger than the window, so you have to remove the top of the figure to insert it.

Movement is good for such a large character, but due to the thickness of the arms, there is limited movement at the elbows, while the shoulders and red speed are made of flexible material for ease of articulation.
I also love the bold colors of the paintwork here, especially how the black lines accentuate the Android details.
Overall, I wouldn’t say it’s a good representation of a beautiful, classic design. This is definitely a figure I’ve wanted for a long time, and it does not disappoint. Thanks again to NECA for sending this pattern!
