Books For Soon To Be Dads

Books For Soon To Be Dads – When Kate became pregnant with our first child, I wanted to do the best I could to support her during her pregnancy as well as prepare to be a father to Gus when he eventually arrived. So I did what any 21st-century expectant father would do: I went to Amazon to see what books were available on the subject.

Many books for new dads are short on useful information but full of funny pictures of a boy becoming a man, information about boys becoming normal, and one-liners about losing access to your wife. . A breastfed baby will sit on it. It’s like they think men are crazy, that they can’t imagine a guy being so excited to be a good guy, or that a guy who’s having that much fun would feel uncomfortable with the information he’s looking for. To show it in a sarcastic, hand-slapping way.

But few textbooks for boys are up and new. After reviewing many of them, I’ll highlight the 4 I think are the best below.

Note: If you’re not one to read an entire book on parenting, I think we do a great job of providing a rough overview of all the information you need to know in the following articles: The Man’s Guide to Pregnancy A Pregnant Woman Preparing for Childbirth Your Baby Enters the World Has been Baby Survival Guide The ability to not think about what to expect

Yes, it’s aimed squarely at moms-to-be, but this classic baby book is full of helpful information about pregnancy that any dad-to-be needs to know. From fetal development to advice on how to handle the first few months of your baby’s life, there’s plenty of useful information for all new parents. Throughout the book, they also have information about fathers (including how to have sex when your wife is pregnant and how long you should wait after giving birth). The connection did not resume. I truly found this to be the most helpful book I read during pregnancy.

I would add that some women don’t like this book because they feel that reading about so many problems/symptoms creates unnecessary stress, but actually that’s a good reason for you to read too. As a father, you often play the role of the most frustrated researcher, that is, your wife will worry that the baby has X problem, and you will look at it and give reassurance: “It looks better, Y is actually a benign case, we Let’s ask the doctor, don’t worry about it.”

Are you going to the doctor for that cough? What do you do when your baby won’t sleep? Is my child growing normally? These are some of the questions new parents ask when they bring their bundles of joy home.

A book that both Kate and I found very helpful during the first twelve months of Gus’s life is What to Expect in the First Year. Any concerns or questions you may have about your baby’s first year of life will be addressed in this book (and it’s best to consult one common source for such questions instead of scrolling through numerous history-filled forums. )

This is probably the best book for boys. No lame jokes. Correctly edit useful information. Father-to-be provides useful information for fathers about the pregnancy process and how fathers can help, as well as raising a child.
