The latest version of the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 is now two inches narrower and only goes to a 12 degree slope instead of the previous model, which went up to 15 degrees. Both appear to be minor downgrades, and we have not completed a full test of this new version. It is not easy to move around once assembled, and takes up quite a bit of space, even with the deck folded for storage. However, if you have room for it, it’s a great option for any fitness level or exercise program and a great way to experience the immersive workouts of the iFit app.

The Horizon 7.4 AT is a gym-quality treadmill that leaves entertainment up to the user, but that doesn’t mean it’s tech-free. Users do not need to rely on a specific application; they can connect to any app they want using the device’s Bluetooth FTMS or go without it; there are no monthly fees included in this treadmill. The latest model update made it easier to connect to other apps like Peloton or Zwift and add some new exercise programs. The large 60″ x 22″ silicone belt sits atop a 3-zone variable cushion deck that flexes under your step like a running shoe. The unique rolling control wheels are the highlights of this machine and are among the most intuitive we have tested. The console is clean, well laid out, and overwhelming; it shows relevant information, but little else. Centrally, there are high and low holders for a tablet, while speakers and water bottle holders populate both sides of the console. The Assembly was involved, and its footprint is large, so we would recommend having a permanent and dedicated place to set up this treadmill. It has some of the lowest noise levels of any treadmill we’ve tested. With a weight limit of 350 pounds, the Horizon feels solid and well built, but the deck is still quite suitable for our testers who weigh less than half that. Incline, descent and speed changes happen faster than on other machines, thanks to a powerful 3.5 CHP motor. Reaching the maximum measured slope of 14.77% happens quickly, even with the deck on weight. The 60″ long deck is perfect for long strides, sprints or hard intervals and will please even runners.
We have few issues with this model. It’s not the easiest to store or assemble, but it’s not the best treadmill we’ve tested either. The biggest drawback for many people is the last of the features. If you want more features, go with the NordicTrack Commercial 1750, which isn’t much more expensive. This treadmill is perfect for runners who want to commit to indoor running, not a monthly app subscription.
