All In One Gaming Computer – I spent my first hour staring at my desk with the Origin PC Geforce GTX 1080 powered, 86cm ultra-wide curved screen Omni all-in-one gaming PC. Now there are more tables. I didn’t know there were so many tables.
Technically, I spent the first hour finding my electric screwdriver to pry the system out of the obligatory wooden box that was part of the Origin PC purchase process. I figured someone would buy one of these instead of keeping a big wooden crate in their cramped apartment building for weeks while looking at the pink-label system. We used the chest as a side table.

But then, too many tables. I removed my normal case tower from the top to make room, but I didn’t really need it. Even now, as I sit in front of the Omni writing this review, my eyes are darting left and right, worried about the lack of confusion.

An all-in-one computer combines a monitor and a computer into one unit that usually has a smaller footprint. Apple has always been a big fan of design, and when I started looking at computers in school (I was very old) they were mostly boxy Macs. When I got my first real computer, I was surprised it didn’t come with a monitor.
Technology has changed a lot since those days. We have cell phones, color TVs, fireplaces, and the ability to put a powerful computer behind a top-of-the-line monitor, which leaves plenty of room for toys on my desk.
Sign in to Origin Omni. It stands alone as an ultra-wide (3440 x 1440) quad HD monitor with an incredibly thick 86cm curved screen. This truck is just full of junk, and by junk I mean high end computer parts.
Remove the back panel of the monitor and you have a full size monitor panel, a full size graphics card, memory, cables, fans, some cooling bits. You know, the things inside the computer, Tetris, turned into a more complex form factor.

(adding a bit more thickness and some weight to the monitor) makes it a relatively low-end PC case. It has a water-cooled Intel Core i7 6700K quad-core 4.0 GHz processor, a Geforce GTX 1080 graphics card, 16 GB of Kingston DDR4 memory and a full-size hard drive equipped with two hard drives, a 250 GB Samsung SSD and a 2 TB Seagate ASUS Z170I Pro Gaming motherboard is available. The only real deal breaker here is the Origin-branded 450-watt power supply, which is on the edge of what a Geforce GTX 1080 card can support. But, it’s worked like a charm so far, so I can’t argue with the results.
The price seems high, but when you factor in the standalone price of the 86cm curved QHD monitor, the individual components, and the lifetime support and free labor warranty, it all adds up right. You also get a free t-shirt and a beautiful wooden side table with built-in storage.
Performance: This is a gaming PC and it plays games well, thanks to the Geforce GTX 1080 founder edition inside. I tested the card and found it to be very impressive, delivering more than gaming performance (at least 30 FPS) in most modern games at 4K resolution. But this system is not 4K. It’s Ultra Wide 3440 x 1440. That means it doesn’t push as many pixels as a 4K screen, but it gives a better experience in supported games.

We’re easily talking 60fps at the highest settings for most of the games I play, including World of Warcraft, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, World of Warcraft, Hitman, Redout, and Steam’s futuristic racing game Rise. Tomb Raider and World of Warcraft.
Take Rise of the Tomb Raider as an example. In my 1080 review, I averaged 44 frames per second at high 4K settings. The same settings running in wide QHD delivered an average of 66 frames per second. In addition, the views are much broader.
I have to admit that I have a problem with not having a big box of random LED lights on top of my desk, but that part of me is stupid. It’s an elegant computing solution, and I’m tired of making fun of all the people in the office who type directly on their iMac monitors.
Panel: Curved monitors are stupid, until you spend an hour in front of one. It’s not exactly immersion, so much as it’s a deeper intimacy between you and what you’re showing, as if it’s always trying to embrace you, but can’t. Non-curved ultra-wide monitors confuse me and always make things look a little off. The curve makes a big difference when you’re dealing with a lot of real estate and brings the edges of the screen closer.

I wish the panel’s refresh rate was better than 60Hz. Unless it’s bright, attractive, and most importantly, you’ll never know there’s a computer behind it until you’re looking for it.
Noise: When the Origin Omni all-in-one fans kick in, you know it. I didn’t notice it much at first when I installed the system in my always noisy living room, but once I moved into my office it was hard to ignore.
The noise is low, but constant in daily use. It can build up to a slow noise as the game progresses, with a small noise during ramping. The noise level isn’t overwhelming, but it’s enough load to raise the discussion.

Port access: The ports for the motherboard and graphics card are located on the bottom of the monitor and can be a bit tricky to reach. While there’s a pair of USB ports (for the webcam) on the back and top, the rest of the Omni’s plugs and ports are on the bottom, accessible by tilting the system back on the stand, or by twisting it on and off. strap on the back plate.
Anyway, it’s a bit of a hassle – I’d recommend getting a USB hub and forgetting about the bottom ports altogether.
Thanks a lot to the flat-panel display, so thin that we can do all the good stuff behind it. Between Apple’s systems and IBM’s consumer-oriented counterparts (I’m getting old myself), all-in-one systems have experienced a renaissance in the last decade. However, until recently I viewed them as work machines or easy-to-use, not-so-powerful computers that I could buy my parents for Christmas.

Der pc kam an und man konne ihn nicht einrichten, da kein Bild oder nur flickernd vorhanden. Die GraKa hat nur laut geblasen aber mehr auch nicht. Beim erneuten bestellen eines anderen Systems bu mir aufgefallen das das neue System ordentlicher and besser packaget war, wie als wäre das System hier gebraucht gewesen va als kaputt versendet worden.
