Update Xiaomi Note 10 Contract Review – Redmi Note 8 review: if you spend 10k, this is the smartphone to buy It’s no surprise that Xiaomi has once again raised the bar in the 10k segment.

Redmi Note 8 has an excellent camera and offers good battery life and performance. Less than 10k, it’s a smartphone

A recent report suggests that the Redmi Note 7 Pro is the second most popular phone in India, and with good reason. Xiaomi has made it its mission to offer incredible value for every phone it sells, and the Note Pro line consistently sits in that sweet spot between money and performance. The non-professional version of this line is just as good and offers even more value if you’re willing to forego features like a slightly more powerful SoC or camera.

Enter the Redmi Note 8, the smaller brother of the Note 8 Pro that forgoes some features in favor of a slightly higher price than before.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro we reviewed earlier has a 64MP rear camera, while the Note 8 has a 48MP one. Note that last year’s Note 7 Pro had a 48MP camera, while the Note 7 had a 12MP one. Note 8 is already a significant upgrade

The Snapdragon 665 chipset, 6GB RAM, and 128GB variant that I tested for over a week showed no signs of stuttering or lagging in any of the apps. As long as you’re not spoiled by the ultra-soft Oxygen UI, you’ll be happy with the fluidity of MIUI 10 and the next version is expected very soon.

That being said, I have never been a fan of MIUI (personal preference). The phone is full of viruses, and constant notifications (read: ads) can be annoying. Every time I unlock the device, at least one notification from a previously installed application appears. The only way is to manually turn off notifications for each of these apps, which I highly recommend if you want to avoid being bombarded with ads.

Even if you go for the base variant (4GB + 64GB), the hardware is capable of handling such games.

. The phone heats up during games, but not to the point where you can’t hold the device in your hands. One nuisance is the vibration motor, which is not accurate. Vibration typing is not very pleasant

Redmi Note 8 offers a good multimedia experience when watching videos. You don’t have stereo speakers, but what you have allows you to comfortably watch movies and series. The bump will go away, but you’ll get used to it over time. If it still bothers you, MIUI allows you to hide the widget

Review: Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro

Like the Note Pro, this device has a cool color temperature on the display. Changing the color mode to “Warm” doesn’t help. However, MIUI lets you play with temperature and tint to customize the display to your liking. Contrast averaging and color balance are fairly neutral.

The phone supports 18W fast charging, and with a 4,000mAh battery, the phone lasted more than a day with regular use. When I pulled out my phone to click photos, use social networks and answer emails, by the end of the day the device had about 20 percent charge.

You can take beautiful pictures in daylight with the quad rear camera system. The main 48-megapixel camera is capable of capturing detailed shots in natural light. When it comes to skin tones, colors are highly dependent on light intensity. Under direct sunlight, the skin tone looks bright and a little unnatural. In soft light, say at dusk, skin tones are closer to natural, although slightly saturated.

While regular shots have better contrast, HDR mode will let you take some impressive shots. Shadows and highlights are well balanced In this mode, you can take beautiful pictures of clouds and buildings.

The flexibility of four different lenses also works well, and the user interface makes it easy to switch between them. The white balance is preserved on all cameras and does not change under the same lighting conditions. I also tried taking some macro shots and I was able to get pretty detailed images, although the images weren’t very sharp. Remember that these shots require good lighting.

In low light conditions, the camera has difficulty capturing details. Images aren’t terrible, good photos need the right amount of light. The camera has a night mode, but I would avoid it because it adds too much noise when trying to overexpose the image.

The biggest differences between the Note 8 and Note 8 Pro are the chipset and the camera. While Note 8 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, Note 8 Pro is powered by MediaTek Helio G90T. There is no difference in performance, it is noticeable only when switching applications or opening them. However, due to the extra performance, the Note 10 Pro should handle multiple Android version upgrades without issue until the hardware becomes the bottleneck.

As for the camera, the difference in image quality is big. The Note Pro performs better in low light and has a more natural skin tone. Images are oversaturated as colors appear punchier compared to the Note 8.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro: Everything You Need To Know

Aside from the front and main rear cameras, the camera system is virtually identical on both devices.

The Note 8 is much cheaper than the Pro. The base Note 8 (4/64GB) model is available for Rs 9,999 and the Pro (6/64GB) base model is available for Rs 14,999. However, the top Note 8 (6GB + 128GB) is available for Rs 12,999. The latter price may put some users in a difficult position. If you’re in that situation, I think it’s worth spending a little more on the Pro. It’s more powerful and the camera is better at 9,999, however the Note 8 is a fantastic deal.

If you are looking for a phone under 10k then Redmi Note 8 offers an impressive and comparable price. It competes with the Real 5, but the latter’s 12MP camera is easily overshadowed by the Note 8’s 48MP rear camera. I’m looking for a phone within 10k range.

Redmi Note 10 has a very comfortable shape and fits well in the palm of your hand. I tested the “Frost White” color option, which is between white and light gray. It’s a nice color option. What I like about the back panel is the matte texture; It has a satiny feel and doesn’t feel slippery like glossy backs. The matte texture also protects it from annoying fingerprints.
