It will be located near the new Co-op store, which opened in July, and marks a return to the city center following the station’s redevelopment.
The former shop was located directly opposite the original entrance and near the ticket offices, facing the first platform.
WHSmith’s Mander Center store in the city center closed in July 2013 with the loss of 20 jobs. It still has a branch at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton.

Global travel retailer WHSmith has opened its first North American store inside the redesigned Terminal B at LaGuardia Airport in New York City. The store features Amazon Just Walk Out (JWO) technology, offering travelers a free shopping experience.

By simply dipping or tapping a credit card, customers can walk into the new WHSmith store, pick up the items they want and walk out without waiting in line. When travelers shop, JWO technology determines what they take off the shelves or what they return. Customers’ credit cards will only be charged for items they take with them after leaving the store.

“The Amazon Just Walk Out Shopping experience is designed to be convenient and simple, so the new WHSmith store will be ideal for travelers in a hurry to purchase drinks, reading material or gifts before or after their flight,” he said Dilip Kumar, Vice President. of physical retail and technology at Amazon in a statement.
WHSmith joins a growing list of retailers that have implemented Amazon’s JWO technology in their stores, including fellow retailer Hudson at Dallas Love Field Airport, Sainsbury’s in London, several Starbucks locations, and Whole Foods-owned Amazon.

The famous chain had announced that the store would close in June, but now management has announced that it will remain part of the Black Country shopping centre.

The branch had been part of the complex since 1989, but its days seemed numbered when signs announced its closure on June 9.
Company bosses said they had “reached an agreement with the owner” to allow them to remain in place.
The news comes as a boost for Merry Hill as it also faces the loss of its BHS store after the company went into administration.
Liz Taylor, general manager of Merry Hill, said: “We are delighted that WH Smith remains at the centre. This news, together with the opening of the new Topshop/Topman flagship store in April, demonstrates that Intu Merry Hill is a sought-after landmark .” -after location For the most established and popular retailers in the country.

“Following further discussions with the owner, we are pleased to have reached an agreement which allows us to continue trading from this shop.”
The Dudley store in the city center closed in September 2013, with the loss of six jobs, as bosses said they could not continue to “trade effectively” from the Wolverhampton Street branch.
