Update Week Per View Diary Review

Update Week Per View Diary Review – It’s not very often that I find a planner with a 4 day weekly planner. In fact, I think the infinite agenda is the first I’ve ever come across (other than a custom Agendio planner).

Price: $58 USD plus shipping (I got this planner on clearance during Black Friday for $10 USD plus shipping, and they seem to go on sale very often throughout the year).

The planner comes in a matching box. Nice idea for a gift, but it affects shipping costs.

The cover is thick, solid chipboard. I chose the red one, but there are several tire colors to choose from such as black, blue and pastel pink.

One of the reasons I’m not a fan of wire binding is that the cord is bulky, it adds weight and in some cases like this where there are so many sides, the cord pops out and the sides loosen.

Most of these pages aren’t really my style of planning, so I probably wouldn’t use them, but it’s something else that most planners don’t include.

The 10 Best Notion Journal Templates (daily, Diary, Reflection & More)

It’s not often I say this (I think this is the first time ever in one of these planner reviews), I actually think they delivered

There are questions/prompters at the top of the page and then there is just one giant page to write on. I think some more structured questions in this cover section would be good. I didn’t take pictures of all the sides of this front, but I show them in the video (scroll to the top of this post to see it).

I think the reason I’m not really a fan of these covers is that they are a bit wet. For example, in the short term the goals are the prompts

I read you and it doesn’t really prompt me to write anything. I think my brain works very differently than the creator of these planners!

Inventive Bullet Journal Themes

I think people’s responses to these prompts will be quite repetitive. Some sample pages from the creators on how they used these parts would be helpful.

After all these pages, the dated planning part begins. Each month has the same infinity divisor. I’m not usually a fan of red and this teal color, but I don’t think so in this planner.

The boxes for each day are approximately 3.5 cm wide x 3.8 cm high (just under 1.5″ wide x 1.5″ high) with US holidays pre-printed.

Unfortunately, split boxes appear on some of the calendars. It doesn’t make sense if there are empty boxes on the top row that can be used…

I’m not a fan of repeating the same text every day (today I’m looking forward to .. & today I’m super grateful for ..). I would just ignore this text or use white tape to cover it.

I wish that quote at the end of the week wasn’t so big – it takes up half the page! It would make more sense to get rid of the offer so that Saturday and Sunday have a full size box rather than a weekday. Or if the quote remains, make the font size much smaller.

Other than that, the boxes are functional for every day and I love the mix of lined and unlined writing space.

At the back is part of the yearbook review which is just open graph paper. 5 pages x two-sided.

The tabs are laminated paper that is likely to be damaged except that the cover extends beyond the sides to protect them. The separation pages for each month are just paper.

There is a pocket folder in the back, but the design of it (so close to the binding with only a small part for your finger to grab and lift) makes it difficult to open.

I didn’t do a pen test because I don’t keep this planner up, but the pages don’t show the heavy color print on the back of the monthly pages, so it shouldn’t be much of a shock to most pens.

As you’ve probably guessed, this planner is a no-no from me. The page size is way too big and the planner is way too heavy.

The Weekly Review: A Productivity Ritual To Get More Done

I think the planner has a good foundation, but the execution needs some improvement. The impractical page size, too many pages (2 x 6 month planners would be more manageable), the desirable (in my opinion) questions that lack structure – I think this planner needs a little more thought out.

If you want to keep the planner on your desk at home and have large handwriting or don’t mind a planner with large page sizes, this might work. There is plenty of space to plan if you want to keep work and personal in one planner.

I think the smaller page size version they have (with the sewn binding) is a much better design. There isn’t as much room to write, not only because of the smaller page size, but it has a 2-page instead of 4-page weekly spread, but it’s a much more convenient size and weight. The Top Down company seems to have stopped selling paper planners now, but I still wanted to post this review because it has a unique approach to the weekly the spread and monthly planning page, which you can replicate in your bullet journal or when creating your own prints.

Price: $25 USD + shipping for the hardback version when I bought during the Black Friday sale. Normal retail price is $50 USD

Update: Top Down seems to have stopped selling paper planners, but a digital download version is still available on their website.

Bullet Journal Ideas For Beginners

The pages with a blue border are the daily, weekly, monthly pages. The pages with a white border are all add on pages – there are many more extra pages than most planners include.

Inside the cover is a coupon code to get the Top Down Digital Toolkit…but it’s the exact same pages that are in the back of the planner. Extremely basic and they charge $30 USD for this normally (I don’t think it’s worth that much!)

I don’t think they chose the right type of binding for the planner. Because there are so many pages – the pages do not flatten and will close by themselves.
