When the new iPhone was announced, the first thing that caught my eye was the upgrade to a smaller image. Having tested the last three generations of iPhones, while the lower image isn’t anywhere near the flagship Android team from Google, Samsung or Huawei, I was intrigued to give it a try. This was the first thing I tried and was impressed by the improved image quality when shooting in low light. Finally, the new iPhone raises stiff competition when it comes to low-light photography – something that Apple seems to have been eliminating for the last three generations.

Iphone 14 Pro Review: Welcome To Dynamic Island

Apple’s annual iPhone update is here in the form of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The three phones are the most-released devices of the year and nothing is known, announced at Apple’s hardware event last month.

Yes, prices of over Rs 1 lakh continue, and I don’t see this trend going away anytime soon — Apple’s market in India will be limited. The iPhone 11 Pro series brings significant improvements, such as the powerful Apple A13 Bionic chipset, ultra-high-capacity battery, and a triple rear camera setup with features like night mode in the new iOS.13 operating system. This is the level of improvement expected from Apple. So let’s jump straight into the camera section to start this review.

Of course, the biggest change to the new iPhone 11 Pro Max is the triple rear camera setup on the back. Although the resolution on all three cameras is still 12 MP, there is now the addition of a wide-angle lens in the wide and telephoto combination. This will happen because Android smartphones already have very wide-angle lenses.

Given below is a glimpse of the specifications on the three rear cameras on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The integrated wide-angle camera offers a 120-degree field of view and it’s easy to get your finger out of your picture. You have to be careful about how you hold the phone.

Iphone 11 Pro Cameras: Specs, Features, And What They Do

In terms of sensor size, wide-angle cameras have the largest sensor at 1/2.55 inches, while telephoto and ultra-wide cameras have the sensor type of 1/3.6 inches. The front camera is a 12MP module with f/2.2 aperture.

I pulled out my iPhone 11 Pro Max, Google Pixel 3XL, and Huawei P30 Pro for a night photo in South Mumbai. The Pixel 3XL (Review) and Huawei P30 Pro (Review) have done well on the low-end photo front. The iPhone XS Max (Review) can’t hold a candle to the Pixel 3XL. The iPhone 11 Pro Max has done well on this front. Over the past few years, the iPhone has been at the very back when it comes to low-end photography. At this point, don’t make amends. You won’t regret taking your iPhone 11 Pro Max with you at night.

Immediately after showering, photos taken in low light automatically activate night mode, which can be seen in the form of a yellow circle symbol next to the flash icon. It works based on the brightness of the light around you—you can’t do it manually. However, you can turn it off if you don’t want to—but I doubt anyone will. The night mode on the iPhone 11 Pro system creates exposure and captures everything in the scene in such a way that if there is movement in the scene, it is captured as blurry. This is not the case with Huawei and Pixel phones, which use AI to remove negative aspects to give you a better, more detailed view. Apple says that, but in my tests I didn’t see that happen. Also, this phone is not as forgiving as other phones.

Iphone 11 Pro Max: A Review

One advantage the iPhone has here is that night and night colors appear to be shot in low light. Phones like the Pixel and P30 Pro turn night into day, which is not what photographers aim for. On a side note, I like how the pictures were shot in low light mode. You see how they gradually grow and get lighter as time goes on the small fire. It’s better than frozen image and Pixel timer.

The overall image quality in low light is excellent. On the phone, the images look good and that should be enough for most iPhone users. If you’re a photography buff and want to play around with the images on your big screen, then you’ll find noise when you’re working in a 100 percent field.

The Apple Iphone 11, 11 Pro & 11 Pro Max Review: Performance, Battery, & Camera Elevated

The ultra-wide mode on the iPhone 11 Pro Max has an f/2.4 aperture that is almost three stops darker than the f/1.8 wide-angle camera. It does not give pleasant results in low light conditions. Since there is no night mode feature for the ultra wide camera, nighttime images are filled with noise and come out well, dark. In daylight, the ultra-wide mode lends itself to good photography, especially when it comes to architecture. Don’t try to take a frame-filling photo of your group of friends with the wide-angle camera—if you do, make sure everyone is in the frame, although that won’t help much because of the amount of distortion.

The 100 percent image above taken from the iPhone 11 Pro Max (left) and the Google Pixel 3XL (right) shows that the Pixel 3XL can improve the situation and reduce noise. Photo: tech2

The low light output of the iPhone 11 Pro Max is on par with the Pixel 3XL in most cases. Huawei P30 Pro in AI mode gives different colors but in AI mode it is turned off, it gives good pictures. It’s hard to put a finger on these three best low-resolution photos because all three offer pleasing output when viewed on a smartphone screen. Yes, noise gets in but that’s not possible. One area where the Pixel 3 XL excels is in selfies and night portrait modes. The computing wonders offered by the Pixel 3 XL are unrivaled to date. The Huawei P30 Pro doesn’t offer portraits despite selecting the mode, although its AI mode brightens up dark scenes nicely when taking pictures. In comparison, the iPhone 11 Pro Max doesn’t perform well in selfie and portrait modes, in low light. It doesn’t have enough punch or clarity when it comes to low-light selfies—and no, Night Mode doesn’t work with the front-facing camera. If you take selfies in low light, the clear crown belongs to the Pixel 3 XL.

These photos were taken on a nice day. Nothing really to complain about here. All three lenses – wide, telephoto, and ultra-wide – work well. The range of capabilities in the iPhone 11 Pro Max’s camera is incredible. It exposes both light and dark areas well for high intensity. Even shooting against fire gives great production. With a new sensor that comes with 100 focus pixels, get focus faster.

Apple Ios 16 Release: Should You Upgrade?

In the camera settings, there is an option called ‘Take an out of frame photo’. This mode is disabled by default, but what it does is capture a small area above/below and from the edges of the frame you can shoot. This allows you to adjust the shot and alignment, if you have cropped a very important part of the frame or if the surface is not horizontal. It works from the start

Or choose a different frame size and orientation guide. Under normal conditions, you can adjust the air while in crop mode, but that will crop the image. By enabling the ‘Take a picture from the center’ mode, there is no cropping as you are actually capturing the image from the canvas. This style works well in street photography, where you can sometimes not make a good image and can recreate moments in posts. This is a
