Update Stabilo Purple Highlighter Review – There’s something about multi-colored stationery that I can’t stand until I buy a full set of Stabilo Boss pastel highlighters, even though I don’t use the highlighters.
I think highlighters are one of the things in preschool because you use them more when you’re revising, reading, and writing in class. In the “bad old days” when Stabilo Boss were the only decent lights I used spacers extensively. They are now as proven as possible, but with their complex windows, double-sided tips, brush tips and weird double-line production tips, they cost (and even depend on where) their Japanese counterparts. Even when it comes to color choices, the old Stabilo boss is left behind.

Stabilo Boss lights are probably what you’ll find in the office (if you go there, Covid permitting). If you can get your office to buy a pastel version of these, I highly recommend it, as they are much more harsh on the eyes than their regular fluorescent brethren. Otherwise, these have a pen body that’s very comfortable to hold, especially if you’re a kid, and really awesome ink. It’s very humid, and in normal office conditions, including most high-quality ones you’ll find, it bleeds through the papers. My main use for them was colored markers to give to the kids my colleagues sometimes brought to work. I color pages with a marker pen, and if parents don’t bring crayons or markers, the Stabilo Boss markers will do in a pinch.

When it comes to the actual scene, they do a terrible job. They hit everything but the ball point, bled like hell, and the colors are decent but not too exciting. Note that these primers pick up and hold it very well, giving a classic “dirty highlighter” effect, especially on lighter complexions.
So if you’re looking for a flashlight, look elsewhere, there are better options on the market. I won’t even try to confirm that Stabilo works after 4 hours of headless use. It’s more important that the actual highlighter is good and useful than that it won a highlighter survival contest that has nothing to do with everyday standards.
Now for the highlights: during my second semester of freshman year, I had a professor who took the time to teach us how to take notes and revise. He had a great sense of humor and a great disdain for scumbags. “If you want to emphasize something, use a pencil or ballpoint pen to underline it. Never use hyphens, because then when you read back, your eyes will only see the hyphens, unless you understand or connect something. Too big for a sentence or paragraph importance, and there’s little chance you’ll ever fix it.Showing something that doesn’t immediately jump out at you gives you context, allowing you to reevaluate if necessary.
I tried her advice and found it worked well for me, so I’ve been highlighting and not highlighting since. Wow! How long has it been since you last wrote? It seems like a century ago. Well, I’m back today with a review of this awesome highlighter that I’ve been wanting for a while. I didn’t buy them new; I bought them from Mercari (similar to Ebay). I have to say it was a great score and a great deal.

It comes in eight colors ranging from yellow to blue. What drew me to this highlighter was the unique colors. There were a lot of pinks and greens, and you don’t see those colors for a normal flashlight.
As you can see, these colors are very different. The pink-salmon color is very pretty with the green. But one thing I want to say is that the yellow is not as fluorescent as I would expect from this kit. None of the show colors are too dark, it’s perfect. This way you can see what text you have selected. Now test:
The guides do a fair job of not bleeding through the paper! It’s noticeable but not sharp. I also use regular printer paper. It can even fill the gaps! What!? I’ve never heard of that!
Verdict: Overall, I recommend this splitter. They are super pigmented, colorful and stand out from the crowd. I wish her yellow was fluorescent. This is perfect for the planner addict in your life, or the student in your life! You can’t go wrong with this one! Not to mention the plastic box that keeps the pointers in order!
