According to a recent report, the Samsung Galaxy M31s is currently available in offline channels for the 6GB RAM variant at Rs. 19,499 instead of Rs. 18,499 retails. The report says that the 8GB RAM model will cost Rs. 19,499 and Rs. 21,499 is available. Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy M31s in India in July 2020 in Black and Blue color variants.

Coming to the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy M31s packs a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 420 nits of brightness. The dual-SIM device will run Android 10-based One UI out of the box. Under the hood, the phone packs an octa-core Exynos 9611 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, which is expandable via microSD card. There is a 6,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging via USB Type-C port.
The Samsung Galaxy M31s comes with a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 lens along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide secondary lens. The camera setup also includes a 5-megapixel depth sensor and a 5-megapixel macro shooter. There is a 32-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls, and it offers features like 4K video recording, slow motion video, AR doodle and AR emoji. For connectivity, the Galaxy M31s includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device has a fingerprint sensor. Samsung Galaxy M31s is getting One UI 4.1 update based on Android 12 in Russia. The smartphone was originally launched in 2020 with One UI 2.5 skin running on Android 10 operating system. Since then, it has also received One UI 3.0 update based on Android 11. The latest update in March 2022 includes security, numerous bug fixes and performance improvements. The Samsung Galaxy M31s is a slightly prettier version of the Galaxy M31, which also gets One UI 4.1.
According to a recent report from SamMobile, Samsung is rolling out the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update for the Galaxy M31s in Russia. It has the version number M317FXXU3DVD4. The One UI 4.1 update brings an updated UI to the Galaxy M31s. It includes a color palette feature that changes UI accent colors based on your chosen wallpaper. This change also applies to stock apps, Google apps, and third-party apps.
Stock apps like My Files, Samsung Gallery, Samsung Internet and Samsung Keyboard have also been updated. The Galaxy M31s is expected to improve security and privacy by adding privacy features to describe system active camera and microphone usage. Additionally, the privacy panel allows users to easily change system access to cameras and microphones.

Samsung Galaxy M31s users will be automatically notified when their smartphone is eligible for an upgrade. Users can also check for updates manually by going to Settings > Software Update > Download & Install. So far, only users in Russia are getting this update. There is no official word on Samsung’s global rollout plans. However, other regions are expected to start receiving this update in the next few weeks.

With the Galaxy M31s, Samsung tried to repeat the winning formula. Despite the opportunity to offer an updated chipset, the company did not accept it as the weakest link. The Samsung Galaxy M31s is available in two color variants – Mirage Blue and Mirage Black. The device is available in two variants – 6GB/128GB priced at Rs. 19,499 and 8GB/128GB at Rs. 21, 499 and the phone can be purchased from Amazon (opens in new tab) India.
Samsung announced on August 26 (Wednesday) that its recently launched Galaxy M31s will return to Amazon India stores from August 27 (Thursday). The device launched around Amazon’s Prime Day sale on August 6 and continued through the Liberty Sale until August 12, after which it briefly disappeared from the online retailer.
The phone is still listed on Samsung’s official portal, but the 6GB variant is not available for purchase. We have reached out to the brand for clarification and will update this section once we receive information.
Samsung Galaxy M31s retail package includes some manuals, phone, SIM-elector tool, USB-C to USB-C charging cable and 25W USB-PD fast charger. Unlike many other devices, the Samsung M31s does not come with a screen protector or protector in the retail box. Straight up, the Samsung Galaxy M31s is huge. There is a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED panel with an Infinity-O display that houses a selfie camera in a punch-hole design. On the right side you have the volume rocker and fingerprint sensor, while on the left side you have the triple SIM tray with space for dual-nano SIM cards and micro-SD cards.
Although the phone is tall with a display for armor, the fingerprint sensor falls in a very good place, which makes it easy to carry. As a right-handed person, it was very easy to use my finger to open the device. When I tried using my left hand, I noticed that the ease of use didn’t diminish, as if using my thumb did the trick.
The device unlocked quickly, indicating that the fingerprint sensor worked well. However, I have experienced instances where it doesn’t register the proper pressure from my thumb and shuts me down for a few more seconds. The phone also featured a “Fingerprint sensor blocked” warning in such cases that an accidental touch was enough to trigger it. There were also instances where the sensor refused to accept my fingerprint. So, overall, it was a great experience.
At the bottom, you have the 3.5mm jack, USB Type C charging port, microphone and bottom speaker. The phone has a large 6,000,000 mAh battery and is a bit on the large side.
