And don’t let the “glass” in “Glassic” fool you, it’s still plastic and still prone to scratches, and obviously the phone is fragile to hold, especially for finger lovers. The good thing is, the phone doesn’t look cheap unlike its predecessor.
The color type I use is space black, which is frankly a bit boring for my taste. No gradients, just simple. If you don’t want black, your other option is ocean blue.
Despite the glass, the phone is still a bit heavy at 191 grams, but you’ll have to live with that if you want a 6,000mAh battery.
A little advice, get a phone case because you will need it and Samsung doesn’t give you a case.

Galaxy M31 features a 6.4 inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display with a waterdrop notch on the top. The bezels and chin of the phone are thin and have curved edges, but that’s not something we haven’t seen before.
The quad-camera setup packaged in a rectangular camera module isn’t unique either, as Samsung has made it a signature design element in its 2020 lineup. You can find this feature on the Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus, as well as the recently launched Lite model. Galaxy. your phones.

As for the rear camera, which includes a 64 MP primary sensor, 8 MP wide-angle camera, 5 MP depth camera and 5 MP macro camera, the images clicked in daylight are quite impressive. In some cases the colors seem to have faded. Details and clarity were borderline.
Ultra wide-angle shots were also good. In some cases, I felt the captured footage was warmer than the actual scene but at least not ugly or unrealistic.
I had high expectations for the camera as the daytime shots were great, but at night it failed miserably. If you use the camera at night or even in dim conditions, you will get nothing but blurry photos. There was no light and not much noise, so I had to struggle to get a photo that didn’t look like I was running while shooting. And if you think night mode can help, you’re wrong. It didn’t do much other than brighten the images. In my opinion, if you do a lot of low-light photography, that’s a danger sign.
The smartphone is powered by the Exynos 9611 chipset, which is the same as we saw in the previous Galaxy A51. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 10 and offers 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

You have an app drawer and switching between apps was super easy. I did not notice any lag while using the phone. I’ve played a few videos, games, and music and haven’t noticed any lag or overheating while doing so. Frankly, the phone is fine for your daily tasks.
Games are another matter. I played RoadRash on the phone and it didn’t really go smoothly. I wish Samsung had used a more powerful processor, such as the Snapdragon 730G chipset that the Poco X2 offers for $15,999. Realme 6 and Redmi Note 9 Pro also have more capable hardware at this price point.
The battery is a standout feature of the phone – 6,000 mAh, simply awesome. I’ve used the phone for a day and a half and it’s still not completely dry. It’s a slight (well, not that light) compromise you have to make regarding charge time. You should work with a 15 W charger. If you plan to be outside for a while, you’d better switch to Zen mode while waiting for the phone to fully charge. On the plus side, once charged you don’t have to worry about battery life for a while.
That said, the screen and single speaker are great and I think this phone could be a great option for those who only consume a lot of video. In fact, very few phones offer an OLED display at this price, and if that’s important to you, the M31 is a no-brainer. Combined with its big battery, all-day Netflix shows can be your thing.
Samsung M32 Review: Perfect Successor Of The Samsung M31?
There are few reasons to buy this phone but honestly they are good. The OLED screen is great, as is the battery life. Its performance is sufficient for daily tasks and if you don’t mind gaming, there’s really no reason not to choose this phone other than the camera performance.
However, the reasons not to buy this phone are equally convincing. Phones like Realme 6 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max are more powerful, more interesting and offer better cameras. These phones also charge fast.
Returning to my original question: Will the Galaxy M31 change anything for Samsung? I don’t think so.
