Update Samsung M31 4 Gb Review – Samsung Galaxy M31 has started receiving a new software update that brings new features such as Glance lock screen and RCS (Rich Communication Services) support for Vodafone-Idea connected phones. The latest software update also includes the July 2020 Android security patch along with other bug fixes. And Galaxy M31 users should note that the new software update will not upgrade the phone to One UI 2.1 based on Android 10. Samsung Galaxy M31 was launched in India in February this year with One UI 2.0 based on Android 10.

According to the changelog shared on Samsung’s website and first reported by Gizmochina, India’s software update comes with build number M315FXXU1ATG2. Galaxy M31’s over-the-air (OTA) update is 659.44MB and brings the July 2020 Android security patch. Vodafone-Idea’s new RCS support allows users to send and receive messages over Wi-Fi or mobile data — unlike traditional SMS, which requires connected to the mobile network. This feature is integrated with the phone’s pre-loaded messaging application and allows users to send emoticons and multimedia files seamlessly.

Another feature that comes with the Galaxy M31 update is Glance. It is a content based lock screen wallpaper which is widely available in various Samsung A and M series smartphones. In other words, this feature displays short interactive texts on the lock screen.

The Galaxy M31 is priced at 16,000 and features an Exynos 9611 processor, a quad-camera setup, a massive 6,000mAh battery, and a Super AMOLED display, along with all those things you get from the Samsung brand. So, if you want a Samsung branded phone with a huge battery, then yes, the Galaxy M31 is definitely worth buying, but if not, don’t waste your money.

Now, if you want a Samsung brand phone under 20,000, but are still confused, let’s talk about the Galaxy M31 in depth and see if there is any reason to buy this battery.

I don’t want to say it again, but still, the Galaxy M31 is powered by the Exynos 9611 we saw in the Galaxy M30s, so no changes here in the same processor. By the way, the chipset has Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and Octa-core Cortex-A73 @ 2.4GHz processor, so you won’t have any problem while playing games. It runs on the latest OneUI 2.0 based on Android 10.

Now if I compare Exynos 9611 with Snapdragon 712 or even 710, I will buy a smartphone with Snapdragon 712 any day, but that doesn’t mean Exynos 9611 is a bad processor, it can handle almost all games. The thing is, in 2020 the Exynos 9611 isn’t worth $16,000, but still, if you want a Samsung-branded phone, I’m not saying much.

I’d say it’s a little better than the Galaxy M30s, not really that good, just a little better. If you have used Galaxy M30s or want to buy a camera phone under 20,000, you can check out the newly launched POCO X2 or Galaxy M31s.

By the way, the phone has a branding 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP Marco lens and a 5MP depth sensor, while on the front there is a 32MP selfie camera.

To be clear, you won’t get a flagship-level score just because the phone has a 64MP sensor. So do not fall into the trap of this because most of the Android smartphone manufacturers use 64MP sensor only for marketing. In general, if you are a regular user and don’t care much about the camera, then the camera will not be a problem for you.

Samsung One Ui 4.1 Update Tracker: Release Date, Top Features, List Of Compatible Galaxy Smartphones And Tablets

The Galaxy M31 shines here, as the phone packs a massive 6,000mAh non-removable battery with only 15W fast charging support, and yes, a 15W charger is included in the box.

Battery life depends on how you use your phone, if you play games for 6 hours every day you have to charge your phone every 6 hours, but if you’re like me and don’t use your phone much, it will last a day.”

This phone can easily last for two days, but of course it depends on what you do with your smartphone on a daily basis. The Galaxy M31 only has 15W charging support, meaning we get 18W fast charging support with a capacity of 10,000, while Samsung is only given 15W.

Charging the 6000 to 100% takes a while, so if they offered 20W charging, that would be great.

Galaxy A31 With Mediatek Soc And 4gb Ram Is Now Available In Spain

Speaking of the build, Samsung has used Corning gorilla glass 3 to protect the front and back screen.

This time, Samsung has launched a balanced phone. The Galaxy M31 has great battery life, good processor, good camera quality, plastic build, and now you can say it’s a well-balanced phone with the Samsung brand. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone except Samsung fans.

The Galaxy M31 has the best screen under 20k, the best tool, and I don’t think any company can beat what Samsung has here, but it still isn’t worth the 16k price. If Samsung releases this phone at 14k, it will be a killer deal.

Galaxy M21 And M31 Get Full One Ui 2.1 Update With Enhanced Camera Features

If you spend around Rs 15,000 on a phone, would you seriously consider a phone other than the Redmi Note or an equivalent Realme or Nokia device? It wasn’t long ago that Samsung was the default here. And it’s not that Samsung still doesn’t make great phones, it’s just that budget phones haven’t been that exciting in recent years. At least not compared to the competition.

Does the Galaxy M31 make a difference? To answer this all-important question (for Samsung’s sake, if no one else), read on.

Samsung chose glass for the back of the phone – a plastic that looks and feels like glass – which is smart glass because it gives the phone a premium finish while keeping the weight low. And weight might be an issue since Samsung shoved a massive 6,000mAh battery into this thing.

And don’t let the “glass” fool you, it’s still plastic, scratch-prone, and glossy, which makes the phone slippery to hold, especially for someone with butterfingers like me. On the bright side, unlike its predecessor, the phone doesn’t look cheap.

The color option I’m using is Space Black, which is frankly boring for my taste. There is no regression, it’s just plain. If you don’t want black, your only option is Ocean Blue.

Despite being glass, the phone is still fairly heavy at 191g, but you’ll have to put up with that if you want that 6,000mAh battery.

Word of advice, buy a phone case because you need one and Samsung won’t give you one.
