Some Samsung Galaxy A70 users in the country who received the Android 10 update along with One UI 2.0 have also reported similar issues.

As reported by a user on Twitter, several Samsung Galaxy M31 users ended up jailbreaking their phones while trying to install the latest update. According to users, the phone gets stuck during the installation process.

Some of the affected users have also reported similar issues on the Samsung Community Forums. Affected users pointed out that since the phone gets stuck while installing the new software, they can’t even do a factory reset to fix the problem.

While some users have claimed that they were able to fix the problem after downloading an earlier firmware from a third-party source, it is not recommended as not flashing the software can even cause serious problems.

Similar to the Galaxy M31, some Samsung Galaxy A70 users in India have also reported similar bricking issues after installing the Android 10 update that comes with One UI 2.0. The Galaxy A70 problem was caused by a hardware incompatibility, reports SamMobile. However, in the case of the Galaxy M31, this is probably not the reason.

Some reports also suggest that Samsung has stopped rolling out updates for both the Galaxy M31 and the Galaxy A70 to avoid further issues.

While Samsung may fix the problem with a future software update, users with bricked phones have no relief until they reach the company’s service center, all of which are closed due to the nationwide lockdown. The company’s social media wasn’t very helpful to users either. Samsung has the ability to provide remote assistance to its customers, but it is unclear if the company plans to do so.
