Update Samsung Galaxy A72 5g Price Review

Update Samsung Galaxy A72 5g Price Review – The Galaxy A72 leads the trio of mid-range Galaxy A smartphones released in 2021. This smartphone brings together the best features in the range, though it disappoints in terms of display capability and fast charging. However, it remains a good choice for those who want a smartphone that will last them a few years before making a new purchase. Stay tuned to this review to learn more!

The Galaxy A72 is a stylish, well-built smartphone with a large display that makes it great for media consumption, while ensuring you’re well supported in terms of software updates over the next four years. Recently, I’ve been reviewing entry-level and mid-range smartphones and, without a doubt, the Galaxy A72 stands out in every way when it comes to value for money among mid-range models.

In this price range, the Galaxy A72 competes with the Galaxy S20 FE ($399.99 trade-in), which is one of the best value propositions available anywhere. Other models it faces are the Realme 8Pro, Xiaomi RedmiNote 9 Pro and Samsung’s own 5G-capable Galaxy A52.

The Galaxy A72 is a large smartphone like its A-series siblings released this year. The Super AMOLED screen measures a large 6.7-inch diagonal with FHD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. Even armed with a 5000 mAh battery, the smartphone maintains a sleek look while tipping the scales at 205 grams.

The A72 isn’t a very futuristic looking phone, but it’s quite functional and Samsung has paid a lot of attention to detail as almost everything inside remains well thought out. The device’s power button is perfect for one-handed use, as is the on-screen fingerprint sensor.

I have to say that this was my first time using an in-display fingerprint sensor and the experience was quite satisfactory, although I did notice some unusual lags that are common with biometric reading sensors.

The A72’s display is bright at 800 nits, and the fact that we have a 90Hz refresh rate enabled at all times makes viewing content on the screen a smoother experience. On the other hand, not having an adaptive refresh rate can lead to higher power consumption, especially when you’re binge-watching or going on a movie marathon through a video streaming service. The ability to switch between 90 and 60 frames per second requires you to use the display settings, which is a bummer.

Watching videos, movies and surfing the web happen to be everyday tasks that most people do, so a smartphone should be capable of these tasks somehow. And the Galaxy A72 excels in these aspects. The screen bears the Samsung brand of quality, where it is quite bright and the colors are vivid. However, I had to change the display mode from vivid to natural because some app icons, especially those that rely on red, ended up being saturated.

What surprised me with the Galaxy A72 was the fact that I experienced more enjoyment playing games like Free Fire because the amount of detail on the screen really allowed me to enjoy a better feel of game situations and I ended up with better performance than mine. daily driver, Google Pixel.

The Galaxy A72 has a great footprint, a large screen size for media consumption and great for gaming. Samsung has really managed to create a near perfect device when it comes to design and build. Now, if you have small hands, this phone might not be the best option. Also, the IP67 certification provides some durability for a device built to last.

The Snapdragon 720G processor is relatively new on the scene as it was announced in early 2020 and is based on the 8nm manufacturing process. It relies on Kryo 465 cores and Adreno 618 GPU to handle the graphics workload. This is the processor that powers the Galaxy A72 along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (available storage is 102.7GB). This smartphone also has microSD memory card support up to 1 TB.

If you’ve read our Galaxy A52 5G review, you might have noticed that the A72’s processor is almost the same as the A52’s, without 5G support of course. So when we compare the performance of both smartphones in different benchmarks, the results are not surprisingly similar:

Samsung Galaxy A72 Vs Galaxy A71 5g

Overall, the Galaxy A72 delivered excellent performance with occasional slowdown issues. In my review, I didn’t recall apps closing unexpectedly like I did on the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G.

During my review, I played Asphalt 9 and Free Fire regularly and had a good experience on both accounts without experiencing any significant hardware overheating or software crashes. Note that although Qualcomm’s “G” suffix on the processor means that this SoC is dedicated for gaming purposes, you should remember that this is still a mid-range processor, so don’t expect to enjoy the best that experiences the chart. However, you can have a lot of fun with the Galaxy A72 when it comes to mobile gaming.

The internals of the Galaxy A72 are not the most powerful in this mid-range category. However, it offers a good level of performance. Of course, the software support of three years of guaranteed OS updates and four years of security patches ensures that this is a smartphone that is around for a long time.

Overall, the Galaxy A72 offers excellent performance in everyday tasks. However, performance is not the highlight of this smartphone. You will be able to use this mobile for media consumption, browsing the internet and your social networks and having fun from one game to another. Samsung’s software is extremely versatile with many customization options available. These alone are reason enough for me to invest in a smartphone at this price.

The cameras on the Galaxy A72 are quite versatile and also have a telephoto lens, making it unique among this year’s A series. In addition, Samsung has thrown in an optical image stabilizer for good measure.

The Galaxy A72’s camera setup is a pleasant surprise. The image quality is really good and the software options will allow users to be more creative with their photos. The telephoto lens instead of the depth sensor found on most devices within this category is a smart move, though I don’t use it often.

Images captured in the sun with the Galaxy A72 ensured that colors were accurately preserved and the presence of optical stabilization meant sharper images. This is really noticeable when you upgrade from a smartphone without this option.

At night, I prefer to avoid the camera’s night mode because it makes any scene look more realistic. With the Galaxy A72, this is not a problem as the camera performed well at night, even in high-contrast artificial lighting environments.

Night shots are fine without night mode (center), but if you have to use it (left), it won’t mess things up. However, I didn’t like the 5 MP macro lens (right) / ©

A nice surprise is the Galaxy A72’s front camera. However, I may be a bit biased due to my review of the Motorola Moto G30, where the selfie camera offered such an artificial experience that it was hard to even recognize myself in photos. Of course, we’re talking about a different set of hardware here, but it’s really interesting to see just how good the A72’s 32MP lens is.

Photos taken with the front camera are quite realistic and not overly processed. I recognize myself in these photos and that’s enough / ©

The Galaxy A72’s camera package is versatile and unique among A-series smartphones, giving this device a distinct edge. The images captured with the 64 MP main lens are quite good and the device performs well at night, leaving the experience complete. In other words, you can share your memories on social networks and with friends through instant messaging services without having to do any post-processing. Plus, you’ll be able to create selfies and other memories captured around the house!

The Galaxy A72 has a 5000 mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. ABOUT
