There are several reasons for this. First, the A51 is light—really light. Samsung has always done a good job of making weighty phones that are still well-built, and the A51 exemplifies that. I only have two minor criticisms of the A51’s design. One of the best things about last year’s Galaxy A50 is its AMOLED display – a luxury usually reserved for more premium devices. The new Galaxy A51 retains the bright panel, except this time it measures 6.5 inches from corner to corner with Full HD resolution.
Not all OLED panels are created equal, and the Galaxy A51’s screen can’t match the astronomical peak or high dynamic range of the Galaxy S20 series screens. The A51 achieves a full-screen brightness of 565 nits, which is pretty high – though you’ll only see that brightness outdoors in harsh sunlight. Normally, the highest manual setting allows you to weigh in at 353 nits, which is significantly lower than the iPhone SE’s maximum of 653 nits.

But of course, the iPhone SE’s display is not an OLED, an LCD. And because the iPhone’s screen is LCD, it can’t deliver the vibrant colors and deep blacks that the A51 usually does.
