Should You Buy Samsung Galaxy A51 In 2021?
You may have noticed that the A51’s Geekbench 4 benchmark results are about 15% weaker than last year’s Galaxy A50, and the single-core test is also 32% slower. I ran several tests and got the same results every time.
If I had to guess, it looks like the Exynos 9611 hasn’t been optimized for Geekbench 4 yet, skepticism raised by the fact that the results of both phones are very close to the latest benchmark Geekbench 5:
The Galaxy A51 has a slight advantage in the graphics test. Here, the A51 delivers more frames per second in the GFXBench Manhattan 3.0 benchmark than the A50 and the Redmi Note 8T, but it doesn’t score as well as the Pixel 3a, which uses the Snapdragon 670:
Slightly reduced battery life But the results are far from bad. On a dead battery test, the Galaxy A51 lasted 19 hours before the screen finally blacked out. There’s no reason you shouldn’t consistently use it moderately throughout the day on a single charge.
