Samsung Galaxy A12 price in Nepal is Rs. 18,999 (4/64) and Rs. 19,999 (4/128). As for the price, Samsung comes with a new design, 48 MP camera and 5000 mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 is a thick phone with a thickness of 8.9 mm. It has a unibody design with a plastic back and a plastic frame.

The new design features a two-tone finish on the back, with the top half getting a pattern while the bottom third remains plain. Then there is a square camera module that looks like the Redmi 9C and Realme C11.
On the front, it uses a water drop notch design. Also, the side bezels and chin are quite thin for a budget phone. It also gets a triple-slot sim tray that can hold two SIM cards and a micro SD card at the same time.

The A12 offers a 6.5-inch 720×1600 (HD+) TFT panel. It’s a 60 Hz TFT panel to reproduce deep blacks and saturated colors.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Review: Promising Camera But Underwhelming Performance
The 720p panel is sharp enough for this price, but the color reproduction isn’t that great. The TFT panel used in the A12 definitely leaves something to be desired.
In terms of brightness, the TFT panel is very bright indoors, but it’s a bit poor outdoors. All in all, it’s an LCD panel that gets the job done.
The Samsung Galaxy A12 comes with a triple camera setup on the back. It has a 48 MP main sensor, a 5 MP depth sensor, a 2 MP depth sensor and a 2 MP macro sensor.
The Samsung A12’s main 48MP sensor can take good photos in broad daylight. Normal images have a lot of detail, but the dynamic range is not great. Images have a hint of saturation, but not what we’ve come to expect from Samsung.

As for the 48MP images, it doesn’t have a good dynamic range and the contrast isn’t great either. I prefer normal photos to 48MP photos.
When we move to low light situations, we can notice noise in the images. Images lose a lot of detail and the dynamic range falls short. To make matters worse, the A12 doesn’t come with a dedicated night mode.
The 5MP sensor doesn’t deliver rich detail, with wide images looking flat even in broad daylight. To be honest, I wouldn’t expect much from an ultra-wide sensor at this price.
It has a nice 123-degree FOV, but you can notice a little distortion in ultra-wide-angle shots, which isn’t too bad.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Review: Camera Quality
The Samsung Galaxy A12 has a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. When we talk about portrait photos, they come out well with enough edge detection and background blur. Overall, portrait mode is average on the A12.
As for the macro shots, they lack detail and don’t look attractive. I wouldn’t use the Samsung A12’s macro shots on social media platforms.
Now to the front camera, the 8MP sensor takes good pictures in good light. Photos will have good detail in well-lit conditions, but indoor selfies won’t come out well.
Alternatively, HDR helps control backlighting, but the background can be washed out in harsh conditions.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Camera Review: Essential Recommendation
The portrait mode of the front camera is also surprisingly good. Works fine most of the time and detects edges. But the background will fade if there is too much backlight.
The Samsung A12 can record 1080p 30fps videos. The video quality is not that impressive as the videos look smooth and lack detail. In addition, there is no video stabilization.
The Samsung Galaxy A12 gets an older Helio P35 chipset. It is paired with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage.
The A12’s performance is nothing to brag about. The Helio P35 can run basic tasks like web browsing and app browsing with little trouble. The animations when navigating through the apps and settings page aren’t as smooth as we’d like.
Samsung Galaxy A12: A Specification Review
About the games, you can play PUBG on smooth and medium graphics settings, but you won’t get smooth gameplay. At best, you can play some light games on this device.
The Samsung A12 is definitely not a performance-oriented phone, and it’s hard to recommend it if you’re looking for a budget phone with good performance. For a starting price of Rs. 18,999, the Samsung A12 should have a better chipset.
The A12’s 5000mAh battery can provide more than a day’s use. I averaged about 9-10 hours of screen time during my review period.
The 15W internal charger takes over 3 hours to charge from 0 to 100.

While the experience remains the same as other Samsung phones, it doesn’t offer premium features like the Samsung A72. However, I like that Samsung settled for Google News when you swipe right on the home screen.
The triple camera setup is also pretty good for the price, but the aging Helio P35 undercuts the A12 in terms of performance. If you are a casual user, you can definitely go for this smartphone. But if you’re looking for a performance-oriented phone on a budget, look elsewhere.

Samsung Galaxy A12 Review: Makes A Good Case
The fact that the Korean manufacturer has managed to sell its Galaxy A series all over the world is undoubtedly one of the reasons why Samsung also markets affordable mid-range phones in the German market. With the Galaxy A20s, Galaxy A21s and Galaxy A12, we had three very similar Samsung phones from the Galaxy A series in the price range of 160 to 200 euros (~$194 to ~$243) during our six-month test. The Galaxy M11 and Galaxy M21 are joined by two other Galaxy M models in the 220 euro (~$267) mid-range price segment.
However, the differences between different Samsung phones are small. As a result, the Samsung Galaxy A12 we recently reviewed shows only a few differences compared to other affordable Galaxy phones in the A and M series.
The Galaxy A12, which was quite modest in our testing, takes decent photos with the main camera, is well built and we also like the textured surface on the back. A very long battery life and a good configuration including One UI and Samsung Knox are also in the Galaxy phone’s good points. However, the Samsung phone shares these positive features with the Galaxy A21s we have already reviewed, among others, and only a few aspects speak for the Galaxy A12 compared to its sibling, which is also available today at a slightly lower price. We hardly see much progress between the 2021 and 2020 models; to some extent, it’s the other way around, as the latter has a much faster WLAN and a slightly faster chipset; in addition, the Galaxy A21s will also supposedly get the One UI 3 interface.
