Update Samsung A12 128 Price Review – The Galaxy A12 is one of Samsung’s cheapest A-series phones and has featured frequently on our trending list since its launch in December. It’s quite different from most of its siblings, as it’s one of the few Samsung phones to have an IPS panel instead of AMOLED, the latter being obviously too expensive for its target budget.
And while the panel didn’t get an OLED upgrade, the Galaxy A12 still has plenty of improvements over its predecessor. For example, there is a small increase in screen size – up to 6.5 inches. The Snapdragon 450 has been replaced by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, which significantly increases the clock frequency of the four Cortex-A53 cores. Memory configurations are quite different. from 3GB/32GB to 6GB/128GB This gives you more choices in addition to the 1GB increase in base RAM.

We expect the biggest improvement to come in the camera department. The 13-megapixel sensor has been replaced by a much larger 48-megapixel sensor. Those 48MP Quad-Bayer (or Tetracell, to use Samsung’s term) sensors have helped a lot in improving image quality in the mid-range, and it’s good to see that now trickling down to the entry level.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Android 12 Update Released, Brings Many New Features
The 5-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor are carried over from the Galaxy A11, and there’s a new addition, though unlikely to make much of a difference, a dedicated 2-megapixel macro camera.
The teardrop notch on the front houses an 8-megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera. It’s a bit strange to see Samsung going from hole to notch, but performance is more important and we’ll definitely cover that in detail in the review.
Another big improvement is the battery capacity. The Galaxy A12 has a 5,000 mAh capacity compared to the A11’s 4,000 mAh, so we expect a significant increase in durability. 15W charging doesn’t sound amazing, but it’s not bad for an entry-level phone. And unlike the latest premium phones, this one comes with the requisite charger in the box.
Sitting comfortably in the sub-€150 range, we’re looking forward to seeing how the Galaxy A12 fares in our usual testing and how it compares to its direct competition.
