Update Redmi 10 S Price Review – The Redmi Note 10S is the second Xiaomi smartphone in the crowded Redmi Note 10 series. This will be launched in India alongside three other Redmi Note 10 models including the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.
The Redmi Note 10S sits between the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro and is largely identical to the Redmi Note 10, but with a better camera and chipset on paper. However, it is closer in price to the Redmi Note 10 Pro than the Redmi Note 10, so the camera and chipset is better to buy this phone instead of just getting the Pro model. But then again, that could be the plan.

Redmi Note 10S is also the first phone in India to launch with MIUI 12.5. Xiaomi is calling this the “interim” version 12.5, which means it’s missing some features from the final release, but we’ll just have to see.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S manages to score well on the display front, as it is one of the few AMOLED display phones in its segment. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not about AMOLED or IPS, it’s about the quality of the panel. Looks like a panel with good sources. The 6.43-inch FHD+ screen offers a 60Hz refresh rate and at the same time vivid colors and a high contrast ratio. We didn’t witness any concerns about peak brightness levels.
If you consume a lot of OTT content, you will be happy to know that the Redmi Note 10S supports DRM-protected HD streaming.
We found an option to enable DC Dimming, which should ensure that people with sensitive eyes feel less strain when using the phone in a dark environment. Now let’s talk about the phone’s hardware and software.
At the heart of the Redmi Note 10S is the MediaTek Helio G95. The octa-core processor can be clocked at up to 2.05GHz and includes the ARM Mali G76GPU, which claims to offer a 31 percent increase in gaming performance over its predecessor. Xiaomi has opted for a UFS 2.2 offering with 64GB and 128GB of storage. There’s plenty of RAM – both versions come with 6GB of LPDDR4X memory.

Our Redmi Note 10S review unit boots MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. While the new version of MIUI is not much different from its previous avatar, Xiaomi now gives users the freedom to remove most of the third-party pre-installed apps. .
