Let’s start with the Redmi Note 10, which can be called the entry model of the new series. This phone has a 6.43-inch AMOLED DotDisplay (60 Hz) with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The phone is powered by the QualcommSnapdragon 678 SoC, which is basically a slightly higher clocked Snapdragon 675. There is also 5G support. One thing missing from this European variant is the support for the 180Hz touch sample rate that its Indian counterpart gets.
The Redmi Note 10 comes with two memory options; The base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and the top variant that gets 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can expand the memory using microSD cards.
Xiaomi has retained the 48MP camera on the Redmi Note 10, but it now has a faster f/1.79 lens than its predecessor’s f/1.8. There’s also an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with 118-degree field of view, a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera, and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor. The front camera, which fits into the hole, has a resolution of 13 megapixels.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro is the flagship variant of the Redmi Note 10 series. This phone has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display and supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sample rate of 240Hz. The screen also works in the DCI-P3 color space, is certified for HDR 10 and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
Redmi Note 10 Pro is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor. This octa-core processor is powerful enough for most modern games, but it doesn’t offer 5G support. You get Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 support. The two variants on offer include the base 6GB variant with 64GB storage and the top 8GB variant with 128GB storage.
In the case of the square camera on the back, Xiaomi follows the trend of using 108 megapixels in the main sensor. As always, the phone adds nine pixels in one for potentially better 12-megapixel images. Next to the main sensor is the same 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera as in the Redmi Note 10, a 5-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera can take 16-megapixel images.

You’ll also enjoy fast charging with 33 watts of power in the Pro version, and the battery capacity will increase to 5,020 mAh. Of course, whether this is enough for an energy-saving screen will only be revealed in a detailed test. Also worth noting is the weight of 193 grams and dimensions of 164 x 76.5 x 8.1 mm.

The disturbing thing is that Xiaomi drops the ultra-wide-angle sensor and keeps the rather superfluous macro and depth sensors. The Redmi Note 10S has a quad-camera setup on the back with a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. Unlike the 5G version, the Note 10S still offers fast charging at 33 watts and also comes with a matching power adapter. Instead, you’ll have to do without micro SD cards. Confusing!

One difference seems to be that the 60HzAMOLED panel on the Indian version supports 180Hz touch selection, while the global version doesn’t seem to. The AMOLED display is also much brighter than its predecessor at 1100 nits and also supports 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. The camera setup on the Redmi Note 10 is again identical to the global variant and uses a quad-camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary camera (IMX 582), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and two 2MP depth and macro sensors. The front camera uses a 13 MP sensor.
