I was with Giga! And he was a happy customer. I had no network issues and the number porting process was easy. Ever since I ported my number, I have never had to contact them for help or send any queries. As for the network connection, I never had any connection problems and so far the connection signal has been very good even in places with poor connection. The best part of Giga! However, my mobile data usage has increased over the past few months and I wanted to upgrade to a mobile plan that provides more data. I’m Giga! During my research I discovered VIVIFI. From the reviews I’ve seen on Seedly, this mobile operator looks pretty good. Since it connects to Singtel’s mobile network infrastructure, I figured the connection should be pretty good. Their Plus mobile plan is only $9 for 9GB with free SMS and call time. To me, this looks like the best deal on the market.

With a 4.4 rating on Seedly, I thought it was worth a try. So I applied for the plan online and 10 minutes later I got an email saying they were reviewing my application. As for VIVIFI, they don’t have an app, so you need to sign up and access your account through a web browser. You can also check your accounts online. After activating the SIM card, you will still need to log in to your account and submit a number porting request.
The next day I received an email saying that the SIM card was available. You can have them delivered for a small fee to various pick-up points in Singapore, but collect them yourself. Their employees usually park at certain metro stations that cross the island for a certain period of time between lunch and after hours. I picked mine up at Raffles Place MRT Station, Exit A, as it was only once at noon that day. Dressed in bright pink t-shirts and hats, their team was easy to spot. She was sitting on the steps of exit A. I approached her and took the SIM card from her. She activated my sim on the spot and it all took less than 3 minutes.
I went home and put the sim card in my phone. It is already connected to their network but my number has not been ported yet. I still need to visit the website to submit my authorization to port my number to VIVIFI from my previous carrier. When it worked, I got an email from Giga! That my account has been suspended. And I thought that everything was fine.

The next morning I found my phone unable to connect to any service and I was out of service for several hours. I thought things would pick up again after two hours, but to no avail.
VIVIFI does not have a phone number where I can be reached immediately. I had to email them through my work laptop to get help as my phone was not connecting to any service. I submitted a request through their website and they responded to me within minutes. They advised to insert the sim card back and reboot the phone. I tried that but sorry it still didn’t work. At this point I was a bit disappointed. But luckily they responded quickly and were able to resolve the issue very quickly. They asked me to reinsert the sim a second time and this time it worked. I was very grateful.
The advantages of VIVIFI are that it offers a relatively cheap mobile plan. It’s not as cheap as TPG, but their network is probably more reliable than TPG based on Google and Seedly reviews.
Another advantage of VIVIFI is prompt customer service. I get responses in literally less than 5 minutes.

I also like that VIVIFI only charges for each run during the month. Unlike this Giga! Fees are charged from the date you start using their services. As for bills, it’s easier for me to keep track of bills because other bills are usually paid at the beginning or end of the month. Since I applied for VIVIFI mobile service at the end of May, data usage and other claims have been prorated.
Another advantage of registering with VIVIFY is that the data provided is unlimited. But there is a catch – only 9 GB of high-speed data is provided. When you use all 9 GB, the data provided will be transferred at a manageable speed.
What does the controlled speed look like? At a manageable data rate, I can only use apps like WhatsApp and Telegram that don’t use a lot of data. It will take a little while to start uploading the photo to IG. It’s like providing internet at 3G speed. I’m fine with this as you can still use other apps and the best part is that VIVIFY uses data much slower than Giga! Given my 2 GB (full speed), it lasts for a few days, even if I spend a lot of time uploading videos to TikTok.
Disadvantages of using VIVIFI is probably the problem that occurred during number porting. Since they don’t have an app, it takes me a long time to open the internet
