I’ve always loved Playful Promises and have bought quite a few from them over the years, but only soft pieces because they didn’t really fit my size. I was so excited to hear about their full launch!

The red Cordelia was by far my favorite kit from the series (because it’s red) and I couldn’t pass it up when it went on sale in February. Playful Promises’ summer sale has just launched until June 15, with the set reduced from £85 to £30, including a mint green version*.

Black lace and red are probably my two favorite things when it comes to lingerie aesthetics, needless to say I’m obsessed with Cordelia!
I really like the eyelash-edged scallops that decorate the front of the bra and the panties – in the panties they create a subtle, kitschy heart shape, which is especially perfect for the color red of love. Unfortunately, these scallops don’t stay in place for long, at least not for me – the ones that cut the panty over and above the straps tend to fly forward, and the two in the center of the cup fold inwards. . I tried to reshape it in water, but no, they just won’t lie. At least a few more cables can be fixed in place with a few quick fixes.
The other finishing touches are very pretty though – rose-centred bows, raw satin straps and elastic bands around the waist.
The bra and knickers are both well made, with fabrics that look good and feel soft to the touch. The bra has a 3-piece cup that is lightly padded, so it offers a lot of support and a round shape for DD + size.

I originally ordered Playful Promises’ Cordelia bra in a 30DD. I tend to wear a 30E in unlined bras and a 30DD in most molded/padded items because my shallow shape means the cups in the front always rise up and away from my body instead of lying flat on side of the skin – they go. down cup size corrects this problem.
However, the 30DD had a big hole for me, which has never happened before, so I switched to a 28DD (smaller cup fit and tighter band). But 28DD cups
I look down. Just a little, but I would have liked another cup size down if it was available. Some bras are built with a fuller shape in mind, this bra really is,
However, the 28 band is true to size as it is tighter than the 30’s I usually buy. I think I spoke too soon when I tried on the 28 band for the first time and declared that it was definitely not my size – the Cordelia bra is much more comfortable than it was. I might go to 28 more than 30 groups from Playful Promises in the future.

Oh, and trinkets! I bought a size XS / UK size 8 and they run true to size and are very comfortable.
The Cordelia play bra set is hand washable only and is still in perfect condition after several uses and washes over the past 3 months.
The Cordelia bra retails for £55 and knickers for £30, although on sale now (and the price I paid) both are £15 – especially incredible for a bra!
Unfortunately this bra isn’t made for my body shape and I wouldn’t buy it again, but if you’re a fuller girl it’s beautiful and well made and well worth the money.

I was excited to buy this board set, but with the combination of the small gap and scallops that are often folded, it doesn’t look quite how I imagined it. I still think it’s a great set so I kept it, but I would have returned it if I had paid full price.
But as sad as it is to find out that the piece of jewelry you want won’t work for your body shape, it’s good that there’s another fully flattering lingerie option out there for women.

One of the few good things that came out in 2020 was TéAmore, a new brand I wrote about in Lingerie Briefs back in April. With a size range focused on full buses (up to UK FF / US H) and a surprisingly good design, they seem to be doing for the full US market what Harlow & Fox did for the UK. This is not to say that the two brands have the same aesthetic, and TéAmore reminds me a lot of ID. Sarrieri, at least with this Spotlight series from their first collection. This is a great feature for DD so I’m glad there is now something like a large size.

Available in red, black and ivory, the Spotlight includes a long bustier with thong and bra options, panties and suspenders shown here. I was given this set as a surprise gift, so I didn’t choose it myself, but the color red is definitely what I would choose! It’s a lovely shade of “true red” that makes the ornate pattern of swirling, fan-like shapes stand out more than ivory (although that’s lovely too).
It is draped in beige tulle, which has an almost imperceptible effect on my skin tone. The back of the harness and panties are made of woven mesh in a light pink shade of beige, and the wings of the bra are solid mesh in a very different beige – colors that are close enough to look the same when. worn out. The pieces are made of shiny silk satin and the front of the bra straps are wrapped in the same silk, while their back and braces are made of satin-finish elastic. 24k gold plated hardware adds a truly luxurious finish.
TéAmore lingerie is made in Europe and Spotlight embroidery is made in France. All three pieces are backed by a layer of sheer tulle for a smooth feel on the skin, and I find this set to be very comfortable to wear all day overall.
The only thing I would change is that the mesh on the back would be red instead of beige. The front is mostly red, so I think it would feel like a cohesive look from front to back – but I’m also just a sucker for a bold red underwear set!

I received the Spotlight set in my usual sizes XS and UK 30DD (TéAmore size 30E as the brand uses European cup sizes) and overall they fit. The bra band feels a bit on the loose side for what I’m used to – I mentioned this to Téa, the founder of the brand, and she told me that they’re already working on making the bands harder for the next collection .
I’m shy of fullness on the top edge, which I’m sure is because I have a hollow-top chest shape. They don’t feel like the cup size is too big, but I think for most people, sticking to the regular cup size would be the best solution. In terms of construction, they are a 3-piece cup that provides a rounded shape and plenty of support for full breasts.

Actually you have both options – there is hook and eye at the back and in the tightest settings it sits comfortably on my natural waist (my favorite way to wear it) without slipping, but in the most comfortable position it looks tight. how the model is dressed.
As for the briefs, I love the leg line with no elastic at the back made by simply folding over the stretchy fabric. It looks seamless under clothes, is super soft and doesn’t feel like it’s riding up all day.

The harness belt is made in a different factory than the bra and panty – I know because the garment label says it’s made in a different country – but you can’t see it. All three pieces are made to the same high standard, with clean stitching, and I couldn’t find a single fault to note.
However, I did have a problem with color bleeding the first time I washed this set. I left my bra and panties in the sink while I washed my hands, and when I took them off I realized that the embroidery pattern had transferred in a few places.
