Update Mi Note 9 Price In India Review

Update Mi Note 9 Price In India Review – Xiaomi created a lot of buzz in the Indian market earlier this year with the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. Both the smartphones are quite impressive at competitive prices, but the excitement is short-lived as both have become more expensive due to the rupee-dollar exchange rate and GST hike. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 9 for less than Rs. Priced at 15,000, the interior is quite powerful compared to its predecessor, but is it good value for money? I am reviewing the new Redmi Note 9 to find out.

Redmi introduced its Aura Balance design with the Redmi Note 9 Pro series and the Redmi Note 9 gets it by default. The phone is very similar to its brothers, but unlike them, the Redmi Note 9 does not have a fingerprint scanner on the side. Instead, there is a traditional one at the back that sits below the rear camera module.

Xiaomi has matched the color of the fingerprint scanner with the bright screen of the camera unit, which is difficult to see from a distance. I preferred the fingerprint scanner on the back, and the scanner on the Redmi Note 9 is well placed. Xiaomi has released this smartphone in three colors: grey, polar white and blue green. I had a polar white unit for this review, and it went down well.

Redmi Note 9 Review: The Budget Smartphone That Does Something Of Everything

The second major change in the Redmi Note 9 is the punch-hole display. Like Redmi Note 9 Pro (Review) and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (Review), the front camera is located in the upper left corner instead of in the center. The hole is not a problem, if you hold the phone horizontally, you might not notice it. What you will notice is that the bezels are quite thick but I would say it is worth it at this price.

Xiaomi has come up with a large display for the Redmi Note 9, so the phone requires a slight movement of the hand to reach the top of the screen with one hand. The power and volume buttons are well placed and easy to type. Like other Redmi phones, the Note 9 has an IR emitter on top. It can be used to control your TV or your TV can be useful.

This phone is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 199 grams. Compared to other smartphones in this price range, it weighs less. According to Xiaomi it used a P2i nano coating on the device and rubber seals on the ports to protect it from water leakage. The main reason for the weight is the large battery in this phone. Xiaomi has also included a 22.5W charger in the box (it costs less than 18W though – more on that later).

The Redmi Note 9 is now the entry point to the Note 9 series, and Xiaomi has selected the MediaTek Helio G85 for this model. It has an octa-core processor with two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. For graphics, it has an ARM Mali-G52 GPU clocked at 1 GHz.

Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5g Review: Mixed Feelings

The Redmi Note 9 has a 6.53-inch display with Full HD + resolution (1080×2340 pixels) and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. The Redmi Note 9 comes in three variants: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. These varieties have a price equivalent to Rs. 11,999, 13,499, and Rs. 14,999 at launch and I think it’s the best one for this review.

The Redmi Note 9 offers expandable storage with a dedicated microSD card slot. It has two nano SIM card slots and supports dual 4G and VoLTE. It has Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi 802.11 n and four satellite navigation systems. The battery capacity is 5,020 mAh. Redmi Note 9 can also charge 9W back via USB Type-C port.

On the computer, there is nothing new. The Redmi Note 9 runs MIUI 11 on top of Android 10, and my unit has the latest June security patch. The phone comes with a lot of pre-installed bloatware, which you are told to remove during installation. It also shows notifications on the lock screen, an option that can be enabled by default, but I disabled it when I set up the phone. Some of the apps installed on the phone include Mi Store, Osom Rummy, Helo, Mi Community, Zili and Mi Pay. Helo and Mi Community have been banned by the Indian government, but were previously included in my review section. Although these programs did not work.

The user interface is very similar to what I am used to on other Xiaomi smartphones. You get the old three-button navigation by default, but you can replace it with swipe gestures. Other useful features like Game Turbo, which cleans RAM, gives more bandwidth to games running in the background, and limits graphics acceleration during gameplay. It also offers an option to accept incoming calls in manual mode and you can customize the touch response for each game.

Redmi 9 Prime Review: Prime Contender Under Rs. 10,000

I experienced intermittent notifications from pre-installed apps like Mi Video and Task Manager, which ruined the overall user experience.

The performance of the Redmi Note 9 is nothing to complain about. The MediaTek Helio G85 is a powerful processor that easily handles my daily tasks. Application load times were acceptable, and with 6GB of RAM, I was able to switch between apps with ease.

I found the screen of the Redmi Note 9 to be good. The viewing angle is good and it’s bright when needed. You can also change the color output. However, the AMOLED display on the Samsung Galaxy M21 (review) is not strong. I found the fingerprint scanner on the back to be quick to unlock the smartphone. Face recognition is fast and easy.

I ran some benchmarks on the Redmi Note 9 to see how the MediaTek Helio G85 compares to other processors. On Antutu, the Redmi Note 9 returned 200, 489, which is close to the same price as Realme Narzo 10 (Review). In the Geekbench 5 single-core and multi-core tests, it scored 356 and 1325 respectively. It also managed 38fps, 14fps and 8fps in the T-Rex, Manhattan 3.1 and Car Chase GFXBench graphics benchmarks.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Review: Good Performer

Redmi Note 9 can run games like PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9: Legends without any problem. In PUBG Mobile, the phone defaults to Medium settings, but I was able to crank it up to High without any performance loss. However, the phone gets warm after 20 minutes of gaming. I also noticed the battery draining around 10% during this time. Asphalt 9 ran on default settings and I only noticed occasional stuttering on certain tracks.

The battery life of the Redmi Note 9 is excellent. It can take up to a day and a half before you want to connect. Even if you are a heavy user, the 5,020 mAh battery should last you more than a day. It lasted 15 hours and 45 minutes in our HD video playback test.

The announcement of the Redmi Note 9 leak has been causing controversy in the days since its launch. The Redmi Note 9 comes with a 22.5W charger in the box, but the device is limited to an 18W charger. Xiaomi told Gadget 360 that the Redmi Note 9 has a software lock on power output and requires more lab and field testing that was not possible due to the lock. Xiaomi says it plans to release a software update in the future that will allow the Redmi Note 9 to charge 22.5W.

Currently, the phone charges 29% in 30 minutes and 60% in an hour. It takes more than two hours to charge the device. If Xiaomi opens up the speed of payment, this amount will decrease.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max First Impressions: A Significant Upgrade Is Here

The Redmi Note 9 has a quad camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera app is very similar to what I’ve seen on other Redmi phones.

In addition to the usual shooting features, the app has a professional mode for both photos and video that allows you to manually control various parameters. There is also a Document mode where you can crop photos and convert them to black and white right from the browser. This will help you by blocking apps like Camscanner.

Redmi Note 9 uses artificial intelligence that understands the details of the displays and adjusts the camera. During the day, the phone offers great photos and text on the spot
