Update Mi Co Review
The Redmi Note 11 does not deviate from the design of its brother, the Redmi Note 10. The overall aesthetic is similar to the Redmi Note 10 with slight changes.

The back panel has a cool finish with gloss spread across the entire panel. Our review unit is a blue star variant that doesn’t seem to detect fingerprints. The Note 11 also retains the IP53 water resistance that we already saw on the Redmi Note 10.
Xiaomi has made the Note 11 slightly thinner than the Note 10 at 8.09mm, but both weigh around 179g.
For ports and buttons, the integrated power buttons for volume and fingerprint are on the right side. On the left, it has a dual sim slot and a dedicated micro sd slot. The bottom of the phone houses a microphone, a Type-C port, and a speaker. At the top, it has a headphone jack, a second speaker, and an IR blaster.
The Redmi Note 11 gets a display upgrade with a 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED panel with a screen resolution of 1080 X 2400 pixels.
Redmi Note 11 Review: Not A Total Upgrade Over Redmi Note 10
Color reproduction is good, which is what we expect from an AMOLED panel. Also, the added smoothness of 90Hz makes this a nice upgrade over the Redmi Note 10’s 60Hz AMOLED panel.
The 90Hz refresh rate is optimized and I didn’t experience any ghosting issues. You can set the screen to 90Hz or 60Hz, but the refresh rate will drop to 60Hz if the screen is idle even when the screen is set to 90Hz.
The Note 11 has a 50MP Samsung JN1 main sensor, which is a minimal upgrade over the Redmi Note 10’s 48MP main sensor. Other than that, it has the same 8MP Ultrawide sensor, 2MP Macro sensor, and 2MP depth sensor.
The new 50MP sensor can take good natural light photos with a decent amount of detail. However, the photos lack sharpness a bit. Photos come out vibrant with just the right amount of saturation, but the exposure was wrong.

In some photos, the darkest area was not properly exposed and the photos appear underexposed. One of the main reasons behind this issue was Auto HDR. Auto HDR would not activate HDR, which would result in sub-optimal results. So I manually enabled the HDR option, which resulted in better photos, but the HDR was too aggressive.
Ultra-wide photos have slightly washed out color compared to the main sensor. In fact, they look bland and lack the proper details.
The Samsung JN1 50MP sensor tries to keep noise levels as low as possible in low light conditions. However, this results in underexposed photos and is most evident in photos without a light source.
Night mode preserves details and the light source is well exposed. But photos without a light source don’t get much better.

I like the face tone of the selfies and the exposure looks good too. Color is also vibrant, but some shots can look a bit underexposed.
For portrait selfies, background blur is decent and edge detection is average. In general, the Redmi Note 11 selfie camera is good.
Unlike the Redmi Note 10, the rear camera of the Note 11 does not support 4K video recording. It is limited to 1080p 60fps. However, this limitation is due to the Spectra 346 ISP used in the Snapdragon 680 chipset.
Talking about video quality, 1080p videos do not have good details and lack sharpness. The smoothness of the pan is also only average. 1080p 60 videos look smoother but sacrifice detail. In terms of stabilization, the videos do not have good stabilization and there are no stabilization options in the settings menu.

The Redmi Note 11 uses the new Snapdragon 680 4G chipset. It has an octa-core processor with 4 Cortex-A73 cores and 4 Cortex-A53 cores.
The new chipset might look like a direct upgrade from the old Snapdragon 678 chipset used in the Redmi Note 10, but it’s not. Snapdragon 678 uses 2 Cortex-A76 cores and 6 Cortex-A55 cores, providing better CPU performance. In addition to this, it also has an Adreno 612 GPU, which is better than the Adreno 610 GPU on the Snapdragon 680 chipset.
With that out of the way, the Redmi Note 11 still feels smooth under normal use. The device navigates through normal tasks such as opening apps, switching apps, and multitasking.
In terms of gaming, Redmi Note 11 cannot play games with higher graphics and fps settings like Redmi Note 10. We tested FreeFire, PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile on Redmi Note 11.

. On this setting FreeFire was ultra smooth with 0% lag and zero fps. You can see from the graph above that the fps avg was 59.7 and the fps stays that way throughout the session.
Fps settings. On Smooth settings, we were able to achieve an average fps of 29.8 fps with no fps drops or stutters.
. At very high settings, gameplay was smooth with almost zero stutters, but I did notice occasional frame drops. We also managed to hit an average of 55.7 fps and an average temperature of 48.5 °C during the first 15 minutes of play. After 45 minutes the average fps was around 56 fps and the temperature was around 50.5°C.
Generally Redmi Note 11 does not give you max graphics and max fps settings. But you can play games on low-medium settings just fine.

Battery capacity and charging capabilities remain the same as the Redmi Note 10. However, the Snapdragon 680 is a 6nm chipset that is much more efficient than the Snapdragon 678.
Redmi Note 11 offers around 8 hours of screen time even with an hour of gaming. And it can easily last more than a day with moderate use.
The Redmi Note 11’s fingerprint sensor is integrated into the home button. The fingerprint sensor is fast and consistent.
Speaking of the speaker, there are two dedicated speakers on the Redmi Note 11. Overall, it’s loud and the clarity is good too, but it lacks bass.

I expected the Redmi Note 11 to come with Android 12 out of the box, but unfortunately it doesn’t. It runs MIUI 13 on top of Android 11.
We get the same MIUI experience with a split notification control panel. Xiaomi also claims that MIUI 13 offers better app fluidity with 15% fewer dropped frames on third-party apps. Xiaomi’s native apps also work better in the new version, with 23% fewer dropped frames.
In this variant, we also have the option of 2 GB of extended RAM. There are also some bloatware like TikTok, State of Survival, Tile Fun and many more.
The Redmi Note 11 is certainly a good device, but it’s not necessarily an upgrade over the Redmi Note 10.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Review
If you want a smoother 90Hz display and better battery life, you can go for the Redmi Note 11. However, if you want better gaming performance and 4K video support, then you should look at the Redmi Note 10.
I am also not convinced by the new sensor of the main camera. The IMX582 sensor of the Redmi Note 10 has been much more optimized than the new sensor of the Note 11.
