Update M31 Ocean Blue Review

Update M31 Ocean Blue Review – Samsung launched its new M series phones in Nepal a few weeks ago. Among them comes the Samsung M31 as an update of the Samsung M30 and M30s.

I have been using this device for over 3 weeks now and I have already given my early thoughts on this device. Watch it first if you want. This is a follow-up to my early impressions and includes a detailed review of the M31.

Samsung Galaxy M31 uses a plastic body and has a glossy finish on the back. On the front, it has an AMOLED display with a waterfall notch.

The plastic design is made to look like glass with a finish, but it really doesn’t.

This particular review got a scratch on the back panel when I used it, but it wasn’t noticeable until close inspection. So, I want you to use the case.

The rear housing has a quad-camera setup with a rectangular camera along with an oval-shaped fingerprint scanner. The sides curve into the frame and the edges are also curved.

At the front, the chin is slender, but the chin is prominent. The buttons are on the right when there is a tray for two sims and a micro-sd.

At the bottom we find the headphones, USB Type C port, microphone and speaker. There is another microphone on top. In addition, the headphones are tucked neatly on top of the notch.

However, the production of plastic does not seem to be respected. He felt strong and stable. But it’s easy to scratch. So, I would like the glass back that we see like the Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Ergonomically, I like how it fits in the hand. It is not smooth and I can use it with my hand. But it is not easy to use with one hand. You have to get used to it.

Samsung Galaxy M31 has a 6.4-inch 1080 × 2340 (FHD+) AMOLED display. It’s a 60Hz panel with deep blacks and excellent color reproduction.

Based on my first impression, everything is still the same. The colors are bright and the contrast is high. It’s perfect for YouTube, Netflix and gaming.

The screen is impressive for media use. However, it doesn’t seem to shine in the sunlight. If you want to take photos or view subjects under harsh sunlight, you may find it a bit difficult.

The Always On Display is normal. You can customize it to some extent. You can choose different colors for the screen. If you prefer a louder sound, you can choose the Natural mode, or else you can go with the Vivid mode. You can adjust the temperature and make the color warm or warm.

To be honest, I’ve never been a big fan of high megapixel sensors. I mean it’s great and all for high definition capture, but I don’t find it useful. After all, the photos from our smartphones are only going to end up on social media.

Samsung Galaxy M31 Launched In India At Rs 14,999: Specifications And Features

So, what we get with the Samsung Galaxy M31 is a 64MP main sensor with a pixel size of 0.8μm. It is a large sensor which helps the sensor to get more light. In general, the Samsung Galaxy M31 uses a beautiful image. But, in typical Samsung fashion, it still retains the same cameras as other mid-range Samsung phones.

The 16 MP images of Samsung Galaxy M31 are very sharp, and the images are well balanced and saturated. The white balance he chooses is not necessarily the most accurate, and he likes to choose one that can bring out the color in the space.

The image has a low ISO of 20, so it’s almost HDR. It manages to keep the details in the dark without blowing out the brightness. I like the brightness of the embedded images, it’s a bit brighter than normal but it helps the images stand out.

Moving on to its 64MP images, they obviously have more details. Looking at the image from one side, it’s clear that the 48MP image has more detail. The image looks flatter than the 16MP image in the interior, but the colors are duller and more natural. And it doesn’t make the image as sharp as with 16 MP images. The 48MP image also has the lowest ISO of 40 and I think this was done to balance the lack of HDR.

To be honest, I like the 16MP built-in photos because they stand out with eye-catching colors and contrast. Additionally, 16MP images have more contrast and better visibility.

But it comes down to personal preference and you might want to use the 48MP image if you want to tweak everything in the background. Most of us won’t mind that though, so it’s better to stick with 16MP photos in general.

So how was the night? Well, that’s good. The first thing you have to remember is that the photos taken in low light do not have good details and they are not loud. If taken at night, the image will appear out of focus. But the night mode helps with this. This reduces the noise and makes the picture more attractive.

The photos taken at night are sharper and have better accuracy. But still, the low-level images from the M31 aren’t that good. However, I’d rather spend the night than not. Ultra wide angle Good

For the ultra-wide camera, the M31’s 8MP sensor is the same as the M30s 8MP sensor. While I would have preferred a 12MP sensor, the 8MP sensor is pretty good during the day. Ultra-wide images maintain the same color profile as the main sensor with high contrast.

The picture looks very sharp, but you will notice some noise at the edges. It also doesn’t work as well as the main sensor when it’s dark. But this is what happens in every phone.

Now, speaking of the portraits, I am very happy. Well, I don’t have many role models because I haven’t met many people because of the epidemic. But I’m happy with what I’ve seen so far.

The depth effect doesn’t look fake and that’s what I love most about portraits. Go ahead, the exploration universe is great, but of course it’s not perfect. He did cut some of my hair, but he did a good job with the glasses. I am very pleased with the results.

Last but not least, it also has a 5MP macro sensor and it’s good. You usually get 2MP macro sensors with phones other than the M31 in this category, for more details to make the photos more interesting. But the color profile is different from the main sensor, it is dull and not so vibrant. Check out the examples below!

Now to the front camera, I like it. The 32MP sensor takes good photos with good contrast. The details are consistent and the HDR works very well. Your selfies will not be blown by the wind, even with a lot of background.

Now, live selfies are not a good thing. The edge measurement is not very good. He had a hard time with my hair. And the blur effect also looks fake. But I like how HDR can still keep the highlights under control.

Samsung M31 supports 4k video recording but no 60fps option even in 1080p. 4k video is sharp with good details, but you lose the stabilization of 4k which makes the video look bad. Stabilization improves a lot when you drop to 1080p, but you lose a bit of detail at 1080p.

Samsung Galaxy M31

The digital stabilization is not the best, you will see some changes when it tries to stabilize the image. Now, it has a fixed 1080p screen, but what it does is it takes the video from the wide camera and crops it a bit to give you a stable video.

The Samsung Galaxy M31 features the same chipset as the Samsung M30s; Exynos 9611. But it has an option for a large 8GB RAM as it comes in two configurations: 6/128GB and 8/128GB.

The Exynos 9611 is a good chipset, but it is not the best in its price range as I said in my first review. It is built in 10nm process and has Octa-core (4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.

Based on my first impression, I made some measurements and played more games to test its performance. Let’s look at the benchmarks first.

Here’s Why The #megamonster Samsung Galaxy M31 Should Be Your Next Smartphone

Start with GeekBench, the CPU benchmark. The Exynos 9611 on the M31 performed very well with a single-core score of 347 and a multi-core score of 1288. We compared it to the Snapdragon 720G (Redmi Note 9 Pro), Snapdragon 665 (Realme 5i) and Snapdragon 675 (Redmi) . Note 7 Pro).

Based on this benchmark, the Exynos 9611 on the Samsung M31 is right up there with the Snapdragon 665 and 675 in terms of performance. However, the Redmi Note 9 Pro is way ahead.

For the GPU benchmark, we used 3D Mark Slingshot Extreme. We compare
