Update Itel A50 Pro Review – The Samsung Galaxy A50 and Samsung Galaxy A90 5G have started receiving the same UI 2.5 update that brings with it the December 2020 Android security patch, says a report. The update, based on Android 10, is rolling out to Galaxy A50 users in India and Sri Lanka, and the Galaxy A90 5G update is rolling out to users in South Korea. The Galaxy A50 update brings stability improvements and bug fixes. The Galaxy A90 5G also gets the Samsung DeX feature.
According to a SamMobile report, the Galaxy A50One UI 2.5 update in India and Sri Lanka has firmware version A505FDDU5BTL1. The update has a file size of 1,202.57 MB and brings the December 2020 Android security patch. Besides general performance improvements and general bug fixes, the update brings Wi-Fi network quality indicators, the ability to search for Wi-Fi passwords and support Here are Bitmoji Codes on the Always-On Display (AoD). Samsung also brings features including split keyboard layout, YouTube search on Samsung keyboard, Pro video camera mode, SOS call and location sharing.

The latest updates also include improvements in terms of fingerprint authentication and battery charging for smartphones.

The latest software update for the Samsung Galaxy A50 brings firmware version A505GNDXU3ASH4 and is 210.70MB in size, reports TizenHelp. One of the biggest changes that the update brings to the smartphone is the improved touch screen functionality.
In response to the change in screen separation from the source, Samsung has improved the moisture detection feature through an update. An algorithm is designed to monitor the USB port to limit charging on the mobile phone if the wet connector is installed.
Further, the software update apparently improves the stability of Samsung’s Knox Guard and improves the security of the mobile phone. There are also various stability fixes and bug fixes, but there is no change in the Android security patch which is still for August.

There isn’t much new in terms of the look and feel of the Samsung Galaxy A50s. When we reviewed the Galaxy M20 (Review), one of Samsung’s first attempts, we commented on how it feels and how it separates itself from the company’s previous products. Also, the Galaxy A50s could easily be mistaken for any of the many phones from today’s top brands, no matter which angle you look at it.
The front of this phone is almost all screen, with a small camera on top (Samsung calls this design ‘Infinity-U’). The screen’s corners are rounded and there’s a thick bezel, while the edges and top bezels are narrower. The edges are slightly curved, and we noted with interest that this is one of the few phones we’ve reviewed recently that doesn’t come with a plastic face protector pre-attached, which we don’t mind. even thanks.
On the back, we have the only individual touch that Samsung decided to show – the central geometric design of the center line with different shades of color in each area. There are three options: Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White and Prism Crush Violet – our review unit is the black version, but the background colors are different from gray.
Thankfully, this design isn’t nearly as susceptible to smudges and fingerprints as the Galaxy A50’s mirror finish, but it still needs to be wiped several times a day to stay in good shape. There’s still a slight prismatic effect under certain lighting conditions, though it’s more subtle than the reflections we saw on this phone’s predecessor.

There’s a USB Type-C port on the bottom, along with a 3.5mm audio jack and one speaker. The left tray has slots for two Nano-SIMs and a microSD card. The power and volume buttons are both on the right, and the top is empty.
At 166g and only 7.7mm thick, the Galaxy A50s is surprisingly easy to handle and live with. You may have to reach the top of the 6.4-inch screen, but otherwise we have no complaints. The build quality is also very good, although this phone still feels plasticky and doesn’t look very premium. Also, there is no mention of the type of glass used for the screen.
We didn’t see any dents or scratches on the frame or back during our review, but we’ll be using this phone with a plastic case. Thankfully, one is included in the trade box. Samsung is also throwing in a 10W charger, a USB Type-C cable, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a SIM eject tool and a quick start guide.
The first thing you will notice about this phone when you turn it on is the bright and clear Super AMOLED display. It measures 6.4 inches, but that shrinks to about 6.2 inches if you measure using the corners. The design is full HD + at 1080×2340. There is a notch at the top for the front camera and the integrated fingerprint sensor which is conveniently placed.

Samsung used its own Exynos 9611 octa-core processor, which seems to be a minor update of the Exynos 9610 found in the Galaxy A50. You get four 1.74GHz ARM Cortex-A53 cores and four 2.3GHz Cortex-A73 cores, along with Mali-G72 graphics. This chip has the same CPU, GPU and LTE capabilities as its predecessor, but supports a higher camera resolution.
This brings us to the new feature of this phone, the 48-megapixel f/2 main camera. It combines an 8-megapixel f/2.2 wide-angle camera and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera has also been improved with a 32-megapixel resolution and f/2 aperture.
