However, I like the design of the P40 Pro more. Like all other Huawei flagships, there is nothing wrong with the function. The two glass halves are connected by an aluminum frame. At the back, Huawei has based the design of the camera elements on the usual rectangular camera module 2020 and also arranged their cameras in a similar module, but with some of Huawei’s own.
The P40 Pro that I have provided is available in “Midnight Black”, a very reflective black. Also, there are “Blush Gold” and “Silver Frost” colors which I really like because the glass on the back is matte. The light appears in a unique way, which I have not seen in any other smartphone before.
Although the P40 Pro has a full height of 6.6 inches, it seems smaller to me compared to other “big” smartphones, I don’t know why, but for example the OnePlus 8 Pro with 6.78 inches looks. Greater for me. So, if you’re not a fan of flashy phones, you might want to keep this in mind.

These services are not open source, however, but are owned by Google. Therefore, they are not found in new Huawei devices, because these are still under sanctions.
Perhaps the most interesting topic about the Huawei P40 Pro is the availability of applications. Since the Google Play Store is missing from all Huawei smartphones released after the Huawei P30 series, it is generally more complicated to get the applications you use every day. But contrary to the expectations of many, it is very possible to use the P40 Pro without withdrawing from social media life in Germany. To be attractive outside of China, Huawei has thought of these two things so that you can continue to enjoy your usual Android apps.
However, there is the issue of the missing Google app, which is without question one of the most important apps on an Android smartphone. To use Google’s services you must take certain steps. Google only exists as a web application, just like YouTube. Especially watching videos on YouTube is therefore not as fun on the P40 Pro as on other Android smartphones. Can install Google Maps, but many features are missing, because GMS disappears in the background, which will manage the Google account, for example.
Unfortunately, banking applications also cause problems. Even if you install them, for example, through an apk file, they are not always available, because they rely on Google services for security checks.

For more experienced technicians, it is definitely possible to restore lost GMS on Huawei P40 Pro through external sources. However, this is very complicated and very risky, which is why I cannot recommend this activity to anyone. In addition, this “fix” is not intended by Google or Huawei.
