Update Galaxy M31 Buy Online Review – Samsung Galaxy M31 Review: Perfect for people who don’t like games You can find your way into this smartphone for many reasons, the biggest of which is its 6,000 mAh battery.

If you are spending around Rs 15,000 on a phone, would you seriously consider a phone other than the Redmi Note or perhaps an equivalent device from Realme or Nokia? It wasn’t that long ago that Samsung was the default option here. And it’s not that Samsung doesn’t still make great phones, it’s just that the budget phones just haven’t been that exciting in recent years. At least not compared to the competition.

Does the Galaxy M31 change anything? To answer that all-important question (for Samsung’s sake, if no one else’s), read on.

Samsung Galaxy M31 with 64MP camera to launch in India at 1pm: How to watch it live Samsung Galaxy M31 with 64MP quad camera, 6000mAh battery to launch in India at Rs 14,999

Samsung uses glass for the back of the phone – a plastic that looks and feels like glass – which is smart because it gives the phone a premium finish while keeping the weight down. And weight could have been an issue considering Samsung crammed a monstrous 6,000mAh battery into this thing.

And don’t let the “glass” in “glass” fool you, it’s still plastic and still prone to scratches, and it’s glossy, which makes the phone slippery to hold, especially for someone with a few fingers like me. On the other hand, the phone does not look cheap, unlike its predecessor.

The color option I’m using is Space Black, which is a bit boring for my taste to be honest. No slope, simple. If you don’t want black, your only other option is ocean blue.

Despite the glass, the phone is still a bit heavy at 191 grams, but you have to live with that if you want the 6,000mAh battery.

Advice, buy a phone case because you will need one and Samsung doesn’t give you one.

The Galaxy M31 has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display with a waterdrop notch at the top. The bezels and center of the phone are thin and it has curved edges, but that’s something we haven’t seen before.

The square camera array packed into a rectangular camera module isn’t unique either, as Samsung made it a unique design element of its 2020 lineup. You can spot this on the Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus, as well as the recently launched Galaxy S Lite phones.

Samsung Galaxy M31 Review: All Hail The New Battery Life King

You’ll see a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and on the bottom edge a headphone jack, Type-C port, and speaker grill.

Starting with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, the phone takes some really good pictures. In terms of details and colors, the phone met my expectations. It won’t boost colors too much, which a lot of phones do these days. When I use portrait mode, or “live focus” as Samsung calls it, the phone takes a few seconds to adjust the focus, but it’s worth the time because in terms of edge detection, brightness and colors it manages to achieve good results.

Moving on to the rear camera which includes a 64MP main sensor, 8MP wide-angle camera, 5MP depth camera and 5MP macro camera, the photos clicked in daylight are quite impressive. However, the colors looked washed out in some cases. The detail and clarity were spot on.

Ultra wide angle shots were also decent. In some cases, I felt that the captured images were much hotter than the actual scene, but at least the image was not ugly or unrealistic.

Samsung Galaxy M31 Gets Android 12 Update In India

I had high expectations for the camera as it takes great photos in daylight, but at night it failed miserably. If you use the camera at night or even in dimly lit places, you will only get blurry pictures. There was no brightness and too much noise, I had to fight to take a photo that didn’t look like I was running while taking the photo. And if you think night mode can help, then you are wrong. Other than brightening the images, it didn’t do much. In my opinion, this is a red flag if you take a lot of photos in low light.

The smartphone is powered by the Exynos 9611 chipset, which is the same as its predecessor and the Galaxy A51. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 10 and offers 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

You get an app drawer and switching between apps was quite smooth. I didn’t see any lag while using the phone. I played several videos, games and music and didn’t notice any lag or heat while doing it. Obviously, the phone is perfect for your daily tasks.

Games are another matter. I played RoadRash on my phone and it didn’t run smoothly. I wish Samsung had opted for a more powerful processor, something like the Snapdragon 730G chipset that the Poco X2 offers at 15,999, for example. Realme 6 and Redmi Note 9 Pro also have more powerful hardware at this price.

Samsung Galaxy M31 Reviews, Pros And Cons

The battery is the only feature of the phone that grabs the title – 6,000 mAh is simply amazing. I used the phone for a day and a half and even then it didn’t drain completely. One slight (okay, not so slight) compromise you have to make is in terms of boot time. You have to settle for a 15W charger. If you plan to stay out for a while, it’s best to enter Zen mode while you wait for the phone to fully charge. On the plus side, once it’s charged, you don’t have to worry about battery life for a while.

The display and single speaker are very nice, and I think this phone could be a great option for those who just watch a lot of videos. In fact, few phones offer an OLED display at this price, and if that matters to you, the M31 is a no-brainer. Coupled with this massive battery, Netflix binges throughout the day can become your thing.

There are several reasons to buy this phone, but frankly, they are good. The OLED display is fantastic and so is the battery life. The performance is fine for everyday tasks and as long as you don’t intend to do a lot of gaming, there’s really no reason not to get this phone, other than the camera performance, that is.

However, the reasons not to buy this phone are equally compelling. Phones like the Realme 6 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max are more powerful, more exciting and offer better cameras. These phones also charge faster.

Samsung Galaxy M31 Geekbench Listing Reveals Key Specifications

To return to my original question: does the Galaxy M31 change anything for Samsung? I don’t think it works.

The Galaxy M31s was supposed to fix the problems of its predecessor, but it still loses in performance by sticking to the same old chipset.

Added a feature in the messaging section that allows the user to send location sharing SOS messages every 30 minutes for a day. The Galaxy M series that Samsung launched last year saw some extremely competitive smartphones like the Galaxy M20 (Review), Galaxy M30 (Review) and Galaxy M30s (Review), phones that allowed the company to go head-to-head with brands like Xiaomi and Realme. The Samsung Galaxy M series smartphones are already known for offering competitive hardware and attractive displays at affordable prices, and the new Galaxy M31 (first impression) tries to stick to that tradition.

Samsung Galaxy M31 Camera Review

The Samsung Galaxy M31 is the natural successor to the Galaxy M30 and Galaxy M30s. It’s a smartphone that doesn’t change too much, keeping the features that worked well last time while offering the necessary upgrades in certain areas. Mainly, Samsung kept the focus on the cameras with the Galaxy M31 offering a 64MP quad camera. Other key specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M31 include a Super AMOLED display, a 6,000 mAh battery and Android 10 software at a starting price of Rs 14,999 in India.

Without changing things too much, the Galaxy M31 looks and feels similar to the Galaxy M30s, which is both good and bad. The good thing is that the smartphone offers all the right features to make it a solid sub-Rs 15,000 smartphone. The downside is that the design and certain specifications of the Galaxy M31 may not go well with some of the other better-looking and more powerful smartphones that will soon be launched in this segment.

As mentioned earlier, the Samsung Galaxy M31 comes with a familiar design. It looks very similar to the Galaxy M30s as it features a single plastic panel on the back with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a quad camera module in the top left corner. While the plastic material helps keep the smartphone light (despite having a massive battery), it makes it less attractive compared to
