Here at MadMan, we’ve managed to avoid the Funko Pop phenomenon, despite a strong temptation from the dead-eyed little ones. But we were over the moon about the release of the Doctor Who series and ran to our Hot Topic site to gather our favorite documents to review. Now comes word from Funko that they will be selling an exclusive Twelfth Doctor in Space Suit at SDCC this year, July 9-12.
Update Funko Pop Doll Review
According to Funko, unlike previous years, they will not be offering pre-orders for their SDCC exclusives, “in an effort to provide more products to attendees.” We’re not sure how we feel about this. SDCC exclusives are notoriously hard to come by and this move looks to make this number no different. We’ll be at SDCC, so check back after the show to see how we did.
Class Is In Session With Umbrella Academy Funko Pops Part 2 [review]
For so long I refused to be fooled by these minnows, knowing that once I started, I would never stop. Funk seems to hold the license for everything from Back to the Future to Guardians of the Galaxy, so you can imagine how quickly it would get out of hand. You might think I’m exaggerating, but the five different pop vinyls of Doctor Who (and two X-Files) sitting on my shelf say otherwise. You start…
Unfortunately, though, I couldn’t find the Hot Topic special twelfth Doctor with spoon and standard Eleventh Doctor that I was looking for, but I was able to find the Eleventh Doctor with a fez, the Tenth Doctor with 3D Glasses. , 10th Doctor Standard, 4th Doctor Standard and 12th Doctor Standard.
These guys are adorable. I tend to be a little myopic when reviewing toys like these and focus on the small details. But I honestly believe that those little things really show that the manufacturer cares about their product. In this area, pop vinyls do not disappoint.
The 4th Doctor character really captures the essence of Tom Baker’s fantastic acting. You’ve got the 10th Doctor’s suit in true colors depending on the 3D or non-3D glasses version. Capaldi’s eyebrows really take the place of attacking real life eyebrows, but what would really appeal to me would be the lack of eyebrows on the 11th Doctor! Matt Smith’s eyebrows are light and almost non-existent, so this was a nice touch from Funko.

We took the hot case exclusive 11th Doctor with a fez and a mop. I’ve always been a different lover, but his kafez just sold me. A large sculpture; Most of the models are good on shoes and they really capture the character of 11 despite the standard Funko look. I would have liked to see his work a little closer to his head, but it’s a terrible fanboyish complaint.
Fortunately, the paint applications are incredibly amazing. Kissing the Zygon carelessly. They also made some strange color choices. Remember the part where 11 wears purple pants? Was he taking the TARDIS to the Grateful Dead show? It’s especially odd considering the standard edition has the right gray pants.
Overall, they are great additions to your desk/dashboard/console room. We are giving you these 5 and 1/2 keys to Doomsday. Tagged: important work, funko, funko pop
In late 2020, the Critical Role player had what, at the time, were nerd dreams come true for them with Funko. In what some of them admitted was an interesting conversation they never thought would come to fruition, the two companies have teamed up to create a collection of Funko POP figures based on the main characters from their first campaign.

Show. And let’s be honest, if something you created in your head to have fun with your friends one day turns into a collectible toy, you’ll have fun too. We were lucky enough to be sent (almost) the entire collection of figures to look at for review, except for the special image of Vex on a broom stick. Here are our thoughts on the collection.
For fun, we’ll do this with a couple in a group, because it’s a fun way to talk about them. The first characters we have are Vax’ildan (played by Liam O’Brien) and Keyleth (played by Marisha Ray). First off, the Raven Queen Champion looks very powerful with its two daggers (Venom Dagger and Flametongue Dagger), as well as Gear Thief along with its face and Deathwalker Ward wings. She is not seen in this photo, but she has a blue feather in her hair from her sister, which helps complete the ensemble. Meanwhile, the Voice of the Storm shows its horns in form, sprouting a Stormcloak on its back. He’s holding the Spire of Conflux with one hand raised, we guess we’ll throw some noise before jumping off the cliff. The long red hair that flows on one side and the flower in her hair on the other side is pleasant to touch as it serves as the type of her people.
As we have Pike Trickfoot (played by Ashley Johnson) and Scanlan Shorthalt (played by Sam Reigel). Pike is fully dressed as a cleric, with Gloves of Gauntlet Power and Dawnmartyr’s Plate, although he is without his usual weapons. But it’s okay, since his eyes are closed and he holds his pendant and calls to Sarenrae, where he takes his wings. Having him on a floating platform is a nice touch as the half is smaller than humans so it puts the character in the middle of an average box size. Again, Scanlan’s height is slightly adjusted as he rides Bigby’s Hand, holding on to the brass flute from which the bard sings his songs. The outfit itself is the bard’s outfit that she’s been seen wearing since the campaign launched, but we’re loving the striped pants and buttonless short that show off her chest hair.

Demon Slayer Funko Pop! Figures Revealed During Funkoween Event
The two we are targeting are Percival Fredrickstein von Musel Klossowski de Rolo III (played by Taliesin Jaffe) and Vex’ahlia (played by Laura Bailey). We see Percy here holding a gun (we’re not entirely sure if it’s a Retort or Animus) wearing his blue and pink suit. A nice touch to this outfit is that he wears a Diplomacy Gauntlet on his left hand, and although you can’t see it in this shot, he has Bad News (his long gun) strapped to his back along with Cabal’s cloak. . Ruin. The glasses on his face are slightly fixed, as if he is looking at you with disappointment, a nice touch. Beside him is his wife Vex, with a blue feather in her hair (left), wearing her white Elvenkind Mantle. The real star addition to this is Fenthras, a relic bow that seems to have a life of its own as it made Exandria one of the greatest hunters in the world. (Too bad he doesn’t have Boots of Haste on him…)

Finally, they are not two, they are two as we have Grog Strongjaw (played by Travis Willingham) and Trinket (played by Matthew Mercer). Grog is the design I was hoping for as he comes with his tattoos, his beard that took forever to grow like a goliath (unless he’s shaved again), drinking ale from his Alchemy vessel and leaning on his Blooxaxe. The additions to his Titanstone Knuckles arm, the back tattoo he got from Kevdak, and the Feral Leaping Boots are all believable and make him even more terrifying. Meanwhile, Trinket serves as a loyal bear who has had a temper tantrum since he was a baby. The pink bow came from when Keyleth and Vax put a bow in her fur along with the armor that Karen made so she would be more protected when rolling in battle. Of note, the Trinket is the rarest of the bunch, as it can only be found in specialty stores and cannot be purchased online. So good luck finding him.
The set is very nice. There are times when we look at Funko figures and realize that they’ve taken the creative skin of something like a Power Ranger or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and slapped that design on a standard form and gone without paying attention. For each of these you can
