As I said, the Galaxy F62 has everything you can think of except 5G. Also, there’s no doubt that 2021 will be all 5G and you won’t be able to use a 5G network on a 4G smartphone so it’s very difficult to live without a 5G phone. Samsung Galaxy F62 is a new mid-range smartphone and it is only the second smartphone. The model was recently introduced in the F series. Samsung is heavily marketing the processing power of this phone as it uses the previous generation of its flagship SoC, which was last seen in the Galaxy Note 10/Note 10 Plus for a much lower priced model. With a 90Hz refresh rate and an under-display fingerprint sensor not uncommon to find on lower-priced phones, I was disappointed that the Galaxy F62 didn’t have one either. You get a punch hole in the top center of the display, which offers endless possibilities for creative wallpapers.

The Galaxy F62 is a 4G-only phone, but the fact that 5G is not yet a reality in India shouldn’t stop you from considering it.
The Samsung Galaxy F62 runs the company’s latest Android skin called One UI (3.1) based on Android 11. It’s nice to have the latest version of Android delivered out of the box instead of waiting for an update. This is the same experience you can get with any Samsung phone released last year. A mix of Samsung and Google apps are preloaded, along with the likes of Netflix.
The interface is clean and free of unwanted spam notifications, provided you make a conscious effort to uncheck the boxes for receiving marketing information on initial startup or when you first open some Samsung apps. Unfortunately, ads appear in the Weather and Game Launcher apps, something I also noticed on the flagship Galaxy S21 Ultra ( review ). These aren’t too intrusive, but ads in stock apps certainly aren’t
