But now we’re looking at the Back to the Future clock tower model. Yes, that’s right, you can now create your own custom Clock Tower model to give a time lapse for passing vehicles when lightning strikes.

The set comes with several pieces of foam board that you can pull out and put together to create a movie scene, and for the most part it’s an easy process. To be honest, I can’t take the steps like how they look on the box and I don’t know why… but I don’t care after 2 minutes and found a satisfactory way. the “this will do” instinct in me.
The instructions show the parts, but do not label them to fully determine which part represents which part in the set. Of course, they are quite simple to recognize and I think it gives you an element of problem solving without feeding you too much.
It didn’t take long to collect and is a simple but effective recreation of the film set, but missing some things that could have greatly increased the set’s appeal. It takes a mini-Doc Brown and some cable to realize that this movie has a dramatic climax where lightning strikes the tower. Without zippers and cables, Doc slides them to disconnect from the wood, which is only a model of the building.
It doesn’t have to be anything more than that, but it reminds me of the scene in the movie Big where Tom Hanks complains that the Transformer figure turns into a building, and what fun it is to play with the building. Of course, this is a collector’s item that, despite being more than 6 years old, is sure to appeal more to 80s kids who want a nostalgic trip on the shelves. This can even inspire fans to build the rest of Hill Valley and set up a remote-controlled time machine that runs through the streets to burn the model like in the movie! Of course, if you are going to do this, make sure you have a fire extinguisher nearby, just like Doc and Marty!!!
Funko Pop! Movies: Back To The Future
With a full retail price of around £15, it really isn’t worth it. For a few quid you can get a Funko or Playmobil version of the clock tower with figures, trees and real lightning!! Or actually a plastic zipper. This is a great quick activity for Back to the Future fans that takes a few minutes to build, but I wouldn’t expect it to be a gift in your collection.
