Overall, the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro are great devices for the price. They have improved performance and camera. Display, battery, design and build quality are good. If you are on a tight budget, it is worth buying.

The Xiaomi 12T series fits into the premium mid-range segment. Both the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro have the same design with minor differences in details. They look and feel great thanks to the matte texture and glass back.
The cheaper 12T Pro has an IP53 rating for water and dust protection while the regular 12T has no official IP rating, which is a big problem.
Both Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro have volume and power buttons on the right side. This is my preferred button placement because I can easily access the buttons as a right-handed person.

Overall, the design is simple and beautiful and stands up to its price. These phones are well built with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and IP rating (12T Pro only). I’m digging the symmetrical stereo sound on the camera input.

The Xiaomi 12T series camera gives me a different feeling. Both the devices have good primary sensors, but their secondary sensors are bad. Especially the Xiaomi 12T Pro has a good 200MP camera, but the ultrawide and large lenses are bad. So, generally as a package, they are not good.
The Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro have a triple camera setup. The 12T has a 108MP wide-angle lens with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro lens.
On the other hand, the 12T Pro has a 200MP wide lens and 8MP ultrawide and 2MP telemacro lenses.
The 108MP and 200MP wide-angle cameras are good for daylight conditions, but struggle a bit at night and indoors with artificial lighting. The 8MP ultra-wide camera is great for shooting from wide angles. The 2MP camera is just rubbish.

Where the Xiaomi 12T Pro shines is when it comes to video recording. The phone supports up to 8K video recording at 30fps and 4K video recording at 60fps. There is support for slow motion video at 960fps and HDR10+ recording. All these factors make the Xiaomi 12T Pro a versatile camera. But I wish there was OIS.
The 20MP selfie camera is a great upgrade compared to the previous generation. It makes many users happy for the occasional selfie and video calls. The phone used to have exaggerated photos but almost all phones including flagships do this these days, which is a shame.
Overall, the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro offer a great camera experience. It’s not class-leading, but it holds its own against the competition. I think Xiaomi 12T Pro will lose to Samsung A-Series and OnePlus 10T.
Xiaomi hasn’t changed the battery technology for this generation, but they are still amazing. Both Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro offer high power and amazing charging speed. Last year only the 11T Pro had a 120W fast charger but this year both the 12T and 12T Pro have an impressive 120W charger.
