Update Broadband Without Wires Review – In this review we will talk about Yehua Wireless HD: transmitter and receiver to transmit HDMI video signals wirelessly

The audio/video signal that is carried by the famous HDMI cable is one of the most complex and heavy signals. Think, in fact, only a few years ago we could find a technology capable of transmitting this data wirelessly, wirelessly. Today we are pleased to review the Yehua Wireless TX e RX Kit. It is a kit including a transmitter and a receiver capable of taking your HDMI signal where you want. It is a system that does not require an Internet connection and is ideal for conferences or home theaters. Let’s not get lost in chatter and see how he behaves.

The packaging is very simple, consisting of a white cardboard with product information and, inside, a cardboard box containing the kit. Inside the package we find a transmitter and a receiver (with two attachable antennas). Supplied with a small cable HDMI-HDMITtwo relatively long cables USB-A/USB-C for each power supply of both devices, and a power supply of 5V 2A. Three different grip attachments are also included on the power supply, including the Italian standard. In conclusion, the instruction booklet is also available in Italian.

The device uses IEEE 802.11ac 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz protocols. They are also powered at 5V 2A, although in most cases they can feed directly from the HDMI port. The receiver can connect with 8 different transmitters, obviously there is only one in the package. The receiver has the following inputs:

The transmitter, on the other hand, has an exclusive HDMI male (which, for example, is plugged into a computer) and is autonomously operated by the computer. Alternatively, the USB-C input located on the side can be used. It may happen that the transmitter does not have enough energy to flow (the status LED will flash in this case) then just select it correctly with the USB-C cable.

Let’s start by talking about the great design and premium materials. The transmitter is very small, gray on the sides and black on the top. In the middle it has a status light and a useful button to stop and resume data flow. The receiver is also well made, all in aluminum, with the on/off switch on the right side and a small slot for the reset placed outside the bottom. Obviously, he also has LED status.

As soon as they were out of the package, I immediately did a very basic test, which was to connect them in the same room. So I first removed the receiver, connected the two supplied antennas and connected the HDMI cable to one TV. Right after that I removed the transmitter and just plugged it into the HDMI port of my laptop. Within seconds, the device is connected and starts streaming the HDMI signal from the computer directly to the TV. Sometimes this can be an automatic failure, in which case follow the very simple steps clearly explained in the booklet to pair the two devices “manually”.

Nbp Review Not Expected To Find Process Undermined

I used the device for several days, not only bringing the HDMI signal from the laptop to the TV in the same room, but also streaming to the next room. The manufacturer declares a maximum range in the presence of a wall between the two devices of 10 meters. However, in open areas, the distance becomes approximately 20 meters. I can roughly confirm the measurements stated by the manufacturer. I find this device great for streaming videos, or maybe viewing some documents. It is good, for example, to transfer the image of a conference given by a computer to a television or projector of a meeting room announcement.

There is input lag, and even at a very short distance it is felt. It is obvious that this cannot be used for streaming video games, at least anything that requires quick reflexes and low input lag. However, when you broadcast your monitor, document or Power Point experience, it’s more fun. Audio also comes through very cleanly and there is no delay in synchronization between audio and video (a very important factor).

I found the Yehua Wireless HD Kit to be very efficient and very suitable for office or home use. Very easy to connect, very intuitive (in my case, it didn’t really help to do anything but connect the device), and from a professional design and not cheap at all. A product that I therefore feel I can recommend even if the price is a bit high, but which I am sure will solve various problems at home and in a professional environment.

When it comes to land-based high-speed broadband connections, there are currently two competing technologies: Coaxial Cable vs. Optical Fiber, or Cable vs. Fiber, for short.

Fiber Vs Cable Internet 101: The Best Tips

This post will briefly explain both and offer advice for operating their broadband end devices: Cable modem vs fiber optic ONT. You’ll walk away with confidence about what equipment to get when you next upgrade or change your internet service.

If you live in an area where Cable and Fiber are available, you can use them simultaneously in a Dual-WAN configuration, which is useful for those who work from home.

There is no “best” router for a particular provider or type of network service — fiber optic, Cable, or the like.

If you find such information somewhere on the Internet, most likely it is nonsense written for SEO purposes.

How Broadband And Leased Lines Are Different

Any standard router, including the head unit of a Wi-Fi network system, will work, to its full potential, with any standard Internet broadband terminal device — modem, fiber optic ONT or other. That’s true as long as both can connect via a network cable, which is almost always the case.

Compatibility usually only applies between the end device and the ISP. For example, certain modems work with Comcast Xfinity while others may not. This also applies to any entrance unit.

In relatively rare non-standard cases, some fiber optic lines may require a router that supports VLAN tagging (a.k.a IPTV). Most Wi-Fi 6 and newer routers support this.

I write this based on my experience as someone who moved to 10Gbps Fiber optic after years of Cable and kept both in a Dual-WAN setup.

What Is Ethernet? Everything You Need To Know About Wired Networks

I first published this piece on December 28, 2021, and updated it on March 21, 2023, to add relevant and up-to-date information, including DOCSIS 4.0.

Fiber vs. Cable Internet: Pictured here is a Cable Modem (top) and a Fiber optic ONT in action. The cable modem (top) is connected to the coaxial line, and the ONT is powered by a fiber optic signal. Each sends the Internet to a single wired device, which, in most cases, is a Wi-Fi router. In this particular setup, you’ll need two routers or one that supports Dual-WAN.

Before continuing, however, let’s address the elephant in the room: your beloved DSL. Yes, I am aware.

, DSL uses existing telephone lines — the same wires we used to use for good old Dial-up connections — to deliver modest broadband connections.

DSL has declined significantly due to slow and unreliable speeds in recent years. Most DSL providers have slowly switched to Fiber as a replacement.

As the name suggests, Cable Internet is a broadband connection over coaxial copper wire originally used for Television or Cable TV.

To make it work for the Internet, ie. data signals — similar to the case of DSL using telephone lines.

The Preemption Predicament Over Broadband Internet Access Services

The advanced ARRIS DOCSIS 3.1 (Slide S33) next to its popular but modest DOCSIS 3.0 (ARRIS SB6141) counterpart

DOCSIS helps make broadband affordable because it leverages existing copper wiring for cable TV — the infrastructure already exists.

And because coaxial wiring works like a spider’s web, DOCSIS is resilient. When a cable breaks, it only affects a few families, if at all. (Unfortunately, Cable is also difficult to maintain because it can take a long time to find and repair a broken line.)

The biggest disadvantage of DOCSIS is that it has sideways connection speeds — uploads tend to be one-tenth (or lower) of downloads — known as asynchronous Internet. That’s how it is

What Is A Lan Cable? Easily Explained

If you are wondering why the upload speed of Cable Internet is always slower than downloads, the reason is quite simple.

When it comes to data transmission, the same concept applies to wiring, but this time it’s because providers can reduce investment and maintenance costs by

And that generally works because, in practice, users receive more data (downloads) than they send (uploads). However, Cable Internet is gradually offering faster upload speeds, and eventually it will provide the same speed in both directions.
