New feature specifications for this year’s model are Dynamic Crystal Color, HDR 10+, True HDR 4K Gaming, with UHD Remastering Engine. All of these names generally describe the set of chips used to refine color, contrast, and image quality.

Samsung’s marketing features this Q8 and Q9 QLED-only panel for those of us who don’t adjust the room’s lighting conditions while watching TV. The technology built into this Ultra Black panel increases brightness while reducing glare by using micro-dots on the surface of the panel to help direct ambient light that could cause glare on the screen.
This is actually a very valuable model. The biggest upgrade from the X900F in Sony’s lineup above is that the X850F lacks a full backlight and instead has edge lighting. Side viewing angle: One of the best performances we’ve seen in this area for a mid-priced 4K TV, though it’s still the weak point of all LED-backlit LCD TVs. The IPS panel included in the x850F is built for better viewing angles, making it a great game day TV.
Not only is the SK8000 HDR compatible, LG has added emphasis on converting standard definition signals to HDR-like quality (read about HDR below). The feature is called HDR Effects, and I thought it worked well – adding brightness and color to different areas of the image.
There is no more important component of a 4K UHD TV than the video engine – especially the ability to upscale/convert the resolution to the original resolution of the panel. The LG a7 processor does an excellent job of this, and with many improvements over last year’s model.

New feature specifications for this year’s model are 4K Color Drive Extreme, 4K HDR Extreme, Triple Black Extreme, with UHD Remastering Engine. All of these names generally describe the set of internal chips used to refine color, contrast and image quality. They offer a slight improvement over last year’s excellent KS model in terms of image quality. The MU8000 is similar and manufactured in 55 inches.
The difference this year in Samsung’s QLED offering and last year’s Nano Crystal technology is an improvement in the QDEF layer or quantum dot layer whatever you want to call it. It adds detail, clarity and depth to images. Local dimming is another highlight of this excellent screen. It’s a little more than the MU9000 in slot #2, but it’s also a little more expensive.
This model is similar to the X930e shown above, except it costs a little less. The X900E comes with enough processing firepower to enhance color and lighting to mimic content originally produced in HDR.
The Best 65 Inch Tvs For 2023
Not only is the SJ8500 HDR compatible, LG has added emphasis on upconverting standard definition signals for HDR-like quality. The feature is called HDR Effects, and I thought it worked well – adding brightness and color to different areas of the image.
Sony won first place with the 4K UHD LED XBR-65X900C with its excellent rendering engine. For normal and standard HD upscaling, I think Sony is the best. The new HDR feature is also great if you can find HDR content. Since Sony is producing a lot of new HDR content, I prefer a TV to display it.
The X800D is a classic 4K UHD value model that will prove you for HDR. For a more competitive price, Sony models still with the excellent IK Processor X1 engine and Google Android operating system consider the XBR-65X800D series (also available in 55″ and 75″)
Samsung UN65KS9000 Samsung has a very good 4K UHD model (for the price and quality) called SUHD. The “S” stands for Super, not Samsung. SUHD has a new nanocrystal film layer and the DCI P3 color system to offer a wider color spectrum called HDR. The Ultra Clear Ultimate panel really delivers clarity and light flow. The price is quite reasonable for the quality at $2700.

This Samsung is one of our favorite LED TVs again for this year. It has a great feature set without excessive pricing. The contrast, color and light flow of the panel are very sharp and have very little input when gaming. Also take a look at its 65-inch curved-screen cousin, the Samsung UN55KU7500.
This LG 60″ model also offers a price of only $1600. The sound quality and magic remote are two highlights along with Quantum Dot technology and HDR compatibility. It’s quite a deal.
An excellent value model from Vizio with a full backlight that provides the same backlight uniformity. The 65-inch model sells for $917, with scalable 4K quality. The TV has excellent clarity and definition.
The price of this TCL is only $589. It has 4K resolution and an excellent Roku TV Smart TV menu and selection.

For $797 and change the KU6300 has some of the best future-proof features, including 4K and HDR compatibility. The 60Hz panel is a major drawback and concern.

Best Oled Tvs From Lg, Sony, And Samsung. Of 2023
If you like the curved screen display and want to own the front with 4K compatible with HDR, the JU6700 model from Samsung remains cheap but with good quality. The 60Hz panel is the main weakness.
If you need a simple 32-inch with a built-in smart TV, it’s hard to go wrong with this little Vizio option.
If massive is what you want, this 80-inch Sharp 4K has very good upscaling technology built in. The smart TV options are decent and the 120Hz panel does a good job with motion.
