We recently tested the Anbernic RG353V and RG353VS consoles and they work exactly the same. Since it’s Android only, we’ll use the V model. It measures approximately 4.9 x 3.2 x 0.8 inches (12.6 x 8.3 x 2.1) and weighs 193g. There are four colors in total; White, black-transparent, gray and purple-transparent.
It is the only vertical orientation Android handheld gaming console that manages to fit all gaming controls including function keys. There are two sets of buttons on the back. I found it awkward to press the two inner buttons without touching the outer button or adjusting my hand position.

RG353V also supports dual boot with Android 11 and Linux OS. The display has mini-HDMI for output and supports WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2. It is powered by a slightly weak 3200mAh Li-Polymer battery and in our tests we ran it for 3 hours and 46 minutes with Antutu.
Our ultimate anbaronic handheld is the RG552. It measures 7.7 x 3.3 x 0.7 inches (19.8 x 8.5 x 2.0 cm) and weighs 355 grams due to its heavy metal alloy body. There are two colors: bronze gray and black.
Like the other two Anburnic models, there are all the usual controls and a function button. Pressing the two internal buttons is a bit awkward, having to move your hand and hook your finger to reach them.

Anbernic RG552 handheld gaming console runs on RK3399 hexa-core processor clocked at up to 1.8GHz and has Mali-T860 graphics. It has 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB eMMC storage with two microSD card slots for additional storage. It has a 5.36-inch touchscreen with 5:3 aspect ratio with 1920 x 1152 resolution.
Dual boot between Android 11 and Linux OS is also supported. There is a mini HDMI port for connecting the RG552 to a display. Only WiFi 2.4GHz is supported, but if you need 5GHz you can use a WiFi dongle. It is powered by dual 3200mAh rechargeable batteries and we ran it for 2 hours and 41 minutes on Antutu. It’s one of two models with a fan, and we measured 56dB with Antutu running.
