Update Best 75 Inch Tv India Review

Update Best 75 Inch Tv India Review – Mi QLED TV 75 is a remarkable achievement for Xiaomi. Once again, the brand is democratizing the television market by lowering the barriers to entry for QLED panels in the large-screen TV segment. If you want a really good screen for watching movies, the Mi QLED TV 75 delivers the goods. However, if gaming is a priority, the Mi QLED 75 wouldn’t be my first recommendation due to a lack of connectivity and future-proofing.

In recent years, Xiaomi has been working to change its image from a value-conscious player to a full-spectrum brand. Part of this transition is the transition of the Redmi brand into a separate entity to focus on more affordable smart devices across its various product lines.

It is clear that the strategy is working as it becomes more ambitious with a broader portfolio of brands. Along with the high-end Mi 11 series smartphones, Xiaomi recently introduced the Mi QLED TV 75 for the Indian market. As the name suggests, this is a 75-inch television that is a step up from the recently launched Redmi 65-inch television. Besides the obvious size difference, Xiaomi focuses on image quality with QLED panels and, of course, value.

The Mi QLED TV 75 is a 4K TV that takes a value-oriented approach to big screens. Price Rs. 1,19,999 in India, it undercuts other QLED sets by a significant margin, sticking only to regular LCD panels for price rivals. The TV can be purchased through Mi.com and Flipkart and is only available in gray color. Xiaomi has not announced any plans for a global launch.

The feature set includes most modern codecs and formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HDR 10+. Built with Patchwall that offers Android TV at the top, it also offers access to a wide variety of streaming services.

The Mi QLED TV 75 takes a lot of inspiration from the 55-inch model and looks suitably premium. It’s affordable in the wide range of big-screen TVs, but it’s still Xiaomi’s most premium TV. It is very clear that Xiaomi has paid great attention to details.

It starts with a normal screen where the bezels are quite small. A dark silver frame wraps around the screen with minimal branding. A low-profile Mi logo sits front and center, while a “Designed by Xiaomi” logo sits on the right side of the frame.

A big change this time around was the television standard. Gone are the side-mounted metal stands and the Mi TV 75 gets a heavy-duty center-mounted metal stand that looks pretty cool. This TV is VESA compatible, of course, and Xiaomi will wall mount it for free if you need the service.

The port selection is very similar to what we saw on the Mi Q1 55-inch and includes two HDMI 2.0 ports and one HDMI 2.1 port with eARC support. You also get dual USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, audio jack and optical out. For legacy devices, Xiaomi has also added an RF port so you can connect a particularly old set-top box or a retro console predating the Nintendo Entertainment System. Finally, you also get a composite input. It’s fair to say that the port selection is strong.

On the wireless side, the TV includes both Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi, and things are pretty good all around. I had no issues streaming high bitrate content from local servers, and streaming services worked fine in 4K. Connectivity was good, even when the television was far from my Wi-Fi router.

Overall, the Mi QLED 75-inch is premium enough to pass as a high-end product. It certainly doesn’t look as good as an equivalent product from Sony or LG, but I doubt users will find anything to complain about here.

A key differentiator for the Mi Television is its patchwork interface. It’s not quite as flashy as WebOS on LG TVs, but it makes up for it with integration into a wide variety of regional and international streaming services. Importantly, the television pulls in DTH or Direct to Home services and integrates them seamlessly into the interface.

What does this mean for users? Good recommendations, for one. Universal Search works on 25 streaming services and can also connect to wireless television to dial in recommendations and alerts. If you care about wireless television, it all works well and is good value. Meanwhile, if you prefer the standard interface like me, you can easily switch to the standard Android TV interface with the click of a button. Anyway, the set also has built-in Chromecast functionality.

It’s for good things. However, I faced serious software optimization issues on the Mi QLED TV 75. There were more than a few occasions where the interface would freeze for a few seconds. The volume bar also freezes sometimes and there are times when the remote becomes completely unresponsive. I was told that many of these bugs will be fixed in an upcoming update. However, there’s no definite timeline for when that update will roll out.

Xiaomi has packed a lot of tech into the panel here and it shows. The 4K 8-bit panel is compatible with HDR 10, HDR 10+, HLG and Dolby Vision. Peak brightness is rated at 1,000 nits and 192 dimming zones provide highly effective backlight control. The Q in QLED comes from a quantum dot layer that helps improve contrast levels. And yes, the panel itself is rated for 120 Hz – with a caveat.

As with most televisions, I wasn’t impressed with the out-of-the-box color calibration. However, spend some time on the picture settings and you can get much more out of the television. There’s a wide range of picture settings, and reducing the backlight level, sharpness and simply turning off the MEMC can make a world of difference.

Contrast levels are excellent and black levels are particularly good thanks to that full array dimming. I’m a proponent of OLED panels, but the Mi TV is heavy and I never felt I was missing out when watching a movie like the Hereditary.

I noticed a few quirks on the gaming side of things. First, although the panel itself is rated at 120 Hz, the television cannot accept an external 120 Hz signal in 4K due to the use of a decoder. This means next-gen consoles won’t have 120Hz support in 4K, making Xiaomi’s claim that it’s a 120Hz television quite a lie. Xiaomi claims that the television supports 1080p/120fps input via HDMI, but I was unable to verify this as the Mi QLED TV 75 completely refused to detect my PlayStation 5 after the test period. In addition, there is no variable refresh rate (VRR) support.

And before we get to the real point here. Could it be due to bandwidth issues or the aforementioned decoder, but I had serious problems connecting two HDMI devices to the television. The PlayStation 5 has a known issue that can cause flickering on certain televisions, but lowering the transfer rate solves this in almost all cases – especially with my old LG 4K set.

However, before it was not detected every time, the Mi QLED TV 75’s only solution was to lower the PlayStation resolution to 1080p or, oddly enough, remove the Fire TV Stick I had in the other HDMI port. Removing the secondary streaming stick solved the problem. I have contacted Xiaomi about these issues. The company says it is looking into it, but no solutions have been offered at the time of publication.

Xiaomi has spoken about the audio power of its new television. There’s plenty of volume, offering a total output of 30W with two tweeters and four woofers. However, that volume doesn’t really translate into a well-separated soundstage. Despite the drivers being scattered across the television’s wide format, I found myself constantly adjusting the volume to hear dialogue.

Best 4k Tvs For Ps5 In 2023

The TV supports eARC over HDMI and can record to a Dolby Atmos audio receiver if you want to integrate it into a home theater system.

Xiaomi has a unified remote control in its portfolio for television and streaming devices, and that’s what you get. Given the television’s high-end positioning, it would have been nice to see a more premium remote, but what’s here is functional.

There’s a directional pad, instant shortcuts for Netflix and Prime Video, plus buttons to drop you into the PatchWall or Android TV interface.
