Update A50s Price 4 64 Review – Rounding out our list of smartphones to review is the latest Samsung Galaxy A50s. It was launched just over a month ago, and this smartphone is definitely a lot of fun. The new Samsung Galaxy A50s is a mid-range smartphone with Samsung specs that costs a little more, but that’s because it also comes with Samsung’s ecosystem. At least in part.
Let’s take a deep dive into this brand new Samsung Galaxy A50s and see what’s new and what’s new. This is also our review video version.

We’re skipping the unlocked portion of this review since we only got the device. However, looking at the list of accessories for the Galaxy A30s, we expect them to be there.

The Galaxy A50s is actually very similar to the A30s. It’s really thin and has a nice side. It’s really smooth, and it’s thin enough to feel great in the hand.
Looking at the back of the phone, it also has the same ceramic diamond bezel cutout. Each “tile” looks different and definitely a unique look. The Galaxy A50s is also available in a variety of colors – I particularly like the Prism Crush Green color, which reminds me of the Prism Green color on the Galaxy S10 series.
There are no surprises here. To recap, the Galaxy A50s has 5GHz WiFi for AC-WiFi connectivity (important for Unifi Turbo users), has NFC, and also has Samsung Pay compatibility. Yes, Samsung heard us and finally included Samsung Pay in the Galaxy A50s.
As for the card slots, the Galaxy A50s has three dedicated slots – 2 Nano SIM slots and 1 microSD card slot – all independent of each other.

Samsung has also placed all the buttons on the right side of the phone, which is quite different from the Galaxy Note10 flagship smartphone. Samsung may improve the design of its next-generation phone.
The bottom of the Galaxy A50s houses the audio jack, USB-C, microphone and speaker.
There is a fingerprint scanner under the screen, which uses an optical sensor. I don’t like the in-display fingerprint scanner at all, though.
The Galaxy A50s features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and an Infinity-V notch. Its chin is larger than its forehead.

Color and saturation on the Galaxy A50s are typical of Samsung. It’s bright, crisp, and blacks are deep — just as any AMOLED display should be. Samsung does reserve the best technology and calibration for its smartphones.
While some may complain about asymmetric sideburns, I honestly think it’s okay to have a thicker chin. This allows me to reach lower corners with ease due to altitude compensation.
So, judging from the usual camera list, the Galaxy A50s does not have a telephoto camera. But what about the Galaxy A50s camera?

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5g Smartphone Review: With More Power In Its Latest Version
I flew to Bangkok for an event last week and I took some photos with the Galaxy A50s.
The main camera is generally very good. None of the HDR was overwhelming or aggressive – but I didn’t like certain scenes.
All the images I took were dark blue. This is the first time I’ve encountered a color mismatch on a Samsung smartphone.
Both saturation and contrast seem to be greatly enhanced, making the image very interesting. However, it does add some drama to the image.

Despite using the same One UI software foundation, Samsung has a product line that separates its flagships from the middleware. The Galaxy A50s looks and feels the same as before, but some features have been tweaked.
For example, the Galaxy A50s actually has what appears to be a “lite” version of the Edge panel. Edge Panel is one of my favorite features on the company’s flagship smartphones, but only a handful of it is available on the Galaxy A50s. There is no smart selection to highlight certain parts of the screen and save it as a screenshot.
However, the Galaxy A50s comes with Windows Connect, which is available for the first time in the Galaxy Note10 series of smartphones. This isn’t a feature I personally use, but it’s there.
The performance of the Exynos 9611 chipset is very similar to the Snapdragon 660 in the Redmi Note 7. The Exynos 9611 has a slightly better CPU, but the overall GPU is better, as you can see in the image below.

Then there’s the gaming experience on this phone. As the benchmarks show, the Exynos 9611 GPU is slightly inferior to the Snapdragon 660.
This is exactly what we got with the Galaxy A50s. We tested the Honkai Impact 3 and for some reason it lagged far behind the Galaxy A50s. Asphalt 9 is awesome. It can hit the highest graphics settings, but it gets arrogant, and so does PUBG Mobile. In fact, PUBG Mobile runs best on the lowest graphics settings and super frame rates.
The Galaxy A50s comes with a relatively large 4000 mAh battery – which should become the new standard for smartphone battery capacity. In our testing, the Galaxy A50s lasted about 13 hours, which is equivalent to a full day’s use. If you don’t play too many games, it can get you through a full day.
Now, the Samsung Galaxy A50s is also compatible with Samsung’s 15W fast charging standard. Since we have this charger lying around our charging stations, we might as well put it to the test.
Samsung Galaxy A50s Expected To Launch In India On September 11
Surprisingly, the 15W charger isn’t much faster than the regular 10W charger we’ve been using. It’s definitely faster and has a clear advantage, but not by much.
Positioned as a mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A50s is indeed a very popular smartphone. There’s nothing amazing about the hardware and performance of the Samsung Galaxy A50s.
However, the Galaxy A50s’ software is where it shines. The user experience is great as it now comes with Samsung Pay and also has an Edge panel despite being the “Lite” version.
Overall, the Galaxy A50s is priced at RM1,299, which is pricier compared to other mid-range smartphones in the market, but it offers a better software experience and ecosystem compared to other brands.

Despite what Samsung would have you believe, the Galaxy lineup doesn’t begin and end with the S and Note series. Samsung’s flagships might grab all the attention, but you wouldn’t be the biggest smartphone maker on the planet if you ignored those who weren’t willing to give up the best parts on their latest phones.
That’s where the Samsung Galaxy A50 comes in, and it’s brilliant. At first glance, it looks like a Galaxy S10, but internally it delivers a fast enough experience without maxing out graphics performance. At £310 it’s definitely great value and worth serious consideration if the S and Note ranges are too expensive for you.
The Galaxy A series is very, very complex. All you really need to know is that the Galaxy A50 is currently the second in the series, behind the A70. When the A80 hits stores later this month, it will soon be the third model. Overall, this makes it better than the A10, A20e and A40.

It’s literally a 6.4-inch device that looks like a Samsung Galaxy S10, but with a cutout on the inside. The octa-core 2.3GHz Exynos 9610 processor powering the phone is nearly identical to the Snapdragon 675 processor powering the Galaxy A70. The phone is also backed by 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
For the price, it’s surprising that the Samsung Galaxy A50 has a triple-camera array on the back, with a depth sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 25-megapixel main camera. The A50 also features Samsung’s usual Super AMOLED screen, which is impressive when competitors at this price point often opt for cheaper IPS displays. Even more so when it also includes an in-screen fingerprint reader.
So what’s the harm? Well, £310 is very reasonable, you know? It’s actually a lot cheaper than many of Samsung’s other smartphone offerings, so its closest competition comes from other manufacturers.
First up, here’s our favorite midrange phone, the Google Pixel 3a. As a stripped-down version of Google’s flagship, this one is a bit slower, has a less impressive build, and misses out on some startup features.
